Zcash price settled between $1,220 and $1,245 in late October after buyers failed to push ZEC above $1,390. That left the token just above $1,210, a level analyst Ardi is watching ahead of the NU7 upgrade. He sees a path back to $1,100 if buyers lose both that support and the rising trend line from $1,050.

On Ardi’s chart, buyers have stepped in at progressively higher prices since the $1,050 low. Sellers, meanwhile, have repeatedly stopped rallies near $1,370. Ardi said he remained short from $1,420 but would reverse that position if buyers cleared $1,370.

If the rising trend line holds, Ardi believes a breakout could force short sellers to buy back ZEC. He puts the potential rebound at $1,500–$1,700. In the other direction,<a href="https://x.com/liquidity_Doc" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> Liquidity Doctor</a> sees room below $1,000 if the trend line breaks.
Crypto Patel takes a longer view of Zcash price. He <a href="https://x.com/CryptoPatel" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">estimates</a> ZEC gained roughly 10,500% in two years and sees scope for a 50%–70% correction over the coming months. A sustained close above $1,699 on a longer-term chart would invalidate his bearish forecast.

The<a href="https://zfnd.org/zebra-7-0-0-release/?utm_source=chatgpt.com" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> Zcash Foundation’s release notes</a> put NU7 activation at block 3,543,405, expected around November 5. The upgrade cuts target block time from 75 seconds to 25. Each block will issue one-third as much ZEC, keeping daily issuance unchanged.
The earlier Zcash price rally also changed what the grants committee’s token holdings could fund. Developer<a href="https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2026/10/27/zcash-co-founder-proposes-ending-grants-funding-citing-usd125-million-treasury?utm_source=chatgpt.com" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> Sean Bowe proposed ending its automatic allocation</a> after estimating that it held about $125 million beyond existing commitments. His calculation assumed $1,300 per coin.<a href="https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2026/10/27/zcash-co-founder-proposes-ending-grants-funding-citing-usd125-million-treasury?utm_source=chatgpt.com" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">&nbsp;</a>
Bowe’s proposal is separate from NU7. The committee would keep its treasury and could continue awarding grants. Its remaining 8% share of newly issued ZEC would instead go into a reserve for future mining rewards.<a href="https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2026/10/27/zcash-co-founder-proposes-ending-grants-funding-citing-usd125-million-treasury?utm_source=chatgpt.com" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">&nbsp;</a>
