Trump signals progress toward an Iran deal, raising hopes of easing tensions. Five altcoins could attract attention ahead of a potential crypto rally. The geopolitical situation may affect investor sentiment and global financial markets, leading to a potential evolution of the cryptocurrency market. U.S. President Donald Trump has recently raised hopes for a possible diplomatic accord with Iran, with his comments.

What could become important for cryptocurrency investors is that if the diplomatic efforts pay off, it will lead to less geopolitical risk. Investors may be more willing to look at alternative crypto projects with different methods of scaling, blockchain infrastructure and even decentralized finance projects in a calmer environment. Under this potential market scenario, the following 5 Altcoins are worth watching: Raydium (RAY), Ethena (ENA), Curve DAO (CRV), VeChain (VET), Optimism (OP).

Trump's latest remarks have placed diplomatic negotiations between Washington and Tehran back into focus. He stated that Iran wants to make a deal and indicated that discussions were going well. However, he also questioned whether Tehran could maintain its commitments, citing previous occasions when negotiations reportedly broke down.

His comments suggest that diplomatic progress remains possible, although an agreement has not been confirmed. The distinction matters because financial markets often respond to expectations before formal agreements become available.

Events in the geopolitical sphere may affect the price of oil, price expectations, currency markets and investor risk appetite. These developments can't be limited to cryptocurrency markets, especially during periods of uncertainty in the broader financial markets.

If this negotiation results in some substantive progress, then investors may feel more at ease when coming back to assets that have greater market risk. The conditions would be favourable for some altcoins to see a resurgence in attention, but just as with Bitcoin, the performance would also be influenced by Bitcoin's market direction, market liquidity and project developments.

Another project that will be tracked is Ethena (ENA). Its ecosystem is synthetic dollar infrastructure and its financial products. With the crypto markets recovering more broadly, it may attract more interest in the decentralized financial services. However, ENA is still subject to market volatility, risks of protocols, and demand for its ecosystem.
