Three Things to Know

Two large Hyperliquid holders sold about $109 million of HYPE after ICE added regulatory fine print to its perps plan.

HYPE kept its uptrend intact while Aave slid into oversold territory with sellers still in charge.

Aave's 200-day average is the line that decides whether its bounce has legs.

Two whales sold a large block of HYPE this week after the NYSE operator ICE revised its plan for Hyperliquid-based perps to note they need regulatory approval. The edit handed timing to the CFTC.

The selling tests a token trading close to its record, while Aave limps through a steep monthly drop. Traders now want to know whether HYPE buyers can absorb more exits, and whether Aave's oversold reading sparks a real rebound.

Whales Cash Out $109 Million After ICE Adds Regulatory Fine Print

Intercontinental Exchange, the operator of the New York Stock Exchange, announced plans on Oct 29 to bring Hyperliquid-based perpetual futures to U.S. traders. The company soon revised its post. ICE and Trade[XYZ] now plan to launch the products "subject to regulatory approvals," the revised post said. The CFTC now controls the timing, and a launch could be months away.

Large holders moved fast. On-chain data show two whales sold about 1.2 million HYPE. Wallet 0x2685 sold 912,383 HYPE for $82 million. It booked roughly $10 million in profit on a position opened a month earlier. A second wallet, 0x648F, sold its stake for $27 million. That holder locked in $16.5 million in profit after nearly a year.

Fresh demand did not show up to absorb it. U.S. HYPE ETFs recorded no inflows on Oct 30. Hyperliquid's Assistance Fund buys back tokens using trading fees alone, which makes it an unlikely match for selling of this size.

The token still held up well. HYPE beat the majors on the week, while Bitcoin fell 3.6% and Ether lost 3.5%. It sits just below its $98 record from Sept 23 and ranks 11th by market value.

Buyers Still Own the HYPE Trend Even as $95.27 Caps the Rally

HYPE traded near $87.76 on Friday, flat over the past day. The token is up about 14% on the week but roughly unchanged over 30 days. That pattern shows a sharp recent bounce that has yet to turn into a lasting gain.

The bigger picture still leans bullish. Price sits above the 50-day moving average near $82.65, which tracks the average close of the past 50 sessions. It also holds well above the 200-day average around $68.78. Both lines act as floors below the market, so the whale selling dented momentum without breaking the uptrend.

Momentum indicators agree. RSI, a 0 to 100 gauge, reads 59. That is firm but well short of the overheated zone above 70, which leaves buyers room to push before the move looks stretched. MACD also stays above its signal line, a sign that upward momentum is still building.

The levels on the daily chart are clear. Support near $82.53 sits almost on top of the 50-day average, which makes it the key floor to watch. A daily close below it would open the way toward the next support around $75.58. That drop would hand sellers their first real win since the rally began.

Overhead, resistance near $95.27 has capped the advance so far. It forms the last wall before the record high. A clean break would put the next resistance around $101 in play, which would mean new all-time highs. Until buyers clear that ceiling, HYPE is likely to chop between its floor and the wall while traders watch the wallets that just cashed out.

Aave sits at the other end of the scale. The lending token traded near $122 on Friday, up about 1% on the day. That small gain does little to repair the damage. AAVE has lost roughly 15% this week and about 24% over the past month.

Both moving averages now sit overhead. The 50-day average near $144 sits far above the price. The 200-day average around $126 is much closer. Those lines act as ceilings, so reclaiming the 200-day is the first real test for any rebound.

RSI reads 29, just inside oversold territory. Selling has run hot enough that a relief bounce would not be surprising. MACD still sits below its signal line, though, which means momentum keeps pointing down. That makes Aave the mirror image of HYPE, with sellers firmly in charge of the trend.

A close above the 200-day would bring resistance near $134 into view, with the next wall around $146. The downside looks thinner. The nearest support on the daily chart lies far lower near $92.88, followed by roughly $86.55. A failed bounce could leave plenty of empty space below.

Where the Next Three Days Turn

Two levels per coin decide the next leg, and each scenario has a clear point where it fails.

Bullish: A daily close for HYPE above its resistance wall would open a retest of the record high. That view fails if price slips back under the floor that sits on the 50-day average. For Aave, reclaiming the 200-day line would put the first resistance overhead in reach.

Bearish: HYPE losing that floor points to the next support lower down, a call that fails back above the wall. Aave rejected at the 200-day risks a slide toward its distant support, a view that fails above first resistance.

Trend Favors HYPE but the Exit Doors Are Watching

HYPE still has the healthier chart, with buyers in control of the trend and both averages beneath it. Aave remains a relief-bounce candidate at best until it holds above its 200-day line.

The risk for HYPE sits in the wallets and in Washington. Another large exit or a slower CFTC review could knock it lower fast, and fee-funded buybacks offer only a thin cushion.
