As of October 31, 2026, TRON News Today comes from a governance vote rather than a price chart in <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-news-october-31-bitcoin-eth-price-binance-hack-update" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">crypto news today</a>.&nbsp;
Per the<a href="https://github.com/tronprotocol/tips/issues/946" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">GitHub TIPs thread</a>, Committee Proposal No. 108 was opened on October 30, 2026, with network parameter activation expected on November 2 at 20:00 SGT.
The official account @trondao also covered this news in its<a href="https://x.com/trondao/status/2116170905181368763" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">tweet on X</a>, saying voting is open and node operators should move to v4.8.2.4.<img alt="TRON DAO official tweet" src="https://d3iuzwoiyg9qa8.cloudfront.net/webadmin/storage/public/commonEditerImage/BQj62Uo5Et0bZUkKg7H3hcoUlV3fP2JBfNaM4PI0.png" width="300" height="418" title="TRON DAO official tweet">

The thread, titled Enable Network Parameter #102, asks the chain to activate ALLOW_OPTIMIZE_TVM_STORAGE_KEY.&nbsp;
<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/what-is-tron-trx-how-the-blockchain-works-and-what-it-does" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">TRON network</a> parameter 102 explained in one line: it switches on a stability fix for how contracts handle stored data.

<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-what-is-tvm-storage-key-optimization-span-span">What Is TVM Storage Key Optimization?</h2>
TVM storage key optimization targets the TVM, the virtual machine that runs contracts.&nbsp;
The summary says it aims to improve network stability and reliability, and the official post says it will improve smart contract storage operations.
TRON <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-blogs-details/smart-contracts-blockchain-working-features" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">smart contract</a> storage upgrade explained simply: developers should get a steadier base to build on. The thread lists no fee or reward changes.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-tron-v4-8-2-4-upgrade-for-node-operators-span-span">TRON v4.8.2.4 Upgrade for Node Operators</h2>
The v4.8.2.4 release, codenamed Empedocles, went live on October 22, 2026, according to the<a href="https://github.com/tronprotocol/java-tron/releases/tag/GreatVoyage-v4.8.2.4" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">java-tron release page</a>. The notes mark it as mandatory.

A TRON node upgrade matters most for block producers. The thread says Super Representatives should run a version supporting parameter 102 before activation, so the TRON Super Representatives upgrade deadline falls ahead of November 2.&nbsp;
This node software upgrade makes the TRON TVM upgrade a two-step move: software first, vote second.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-will-tron-proposal-108-pass-span-span">Will TRON Proposal 108 Pass?</h2>
Per the<a href="https://developers.tron.network/docs/committee" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">official developer documentation</a>, the committee consists of 27 active Super Representatives. The TRON committee vote today follows fixed rules.

TRON governance proposal news today includes community feedback: contributors on the thread backed the change and asked for a readiness update on SR upgrades. No final tally had been published in the sources reviewed.

<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-expert-view-plumbing-before-features-span-span">Expert View: Plumbing Before Features</h2>
Analysts following <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-news-english" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">crypto news</a> may read parameter 102 as infrastructure work rather than a feature launch.&nbsp;
Any market impact remains uncertain, since a TRON blockchain upgrade is usually judged by its smooth activation.
For TRON News Today followers, the open question is whether activation on November 2 passes without node issues.&nbsp;
More TRON News Today coverage will follow once the result is posted.
