OKX Europe opened two spot markets for the Cetus token on 29 October 2026 at 10:00 UTC. The listing notice came out a day earlier. It names the pairs CETUS/USD and CETUS/EUR.
So what separates the CETUS USD vs EUR pairs? Not the token, because it is the same CETUS in both. The differences sit around it: the currency on the price tag, the order book behind that price, and the cost of getting in and out.
Terms like these are explained in the crypto dictionary. The official listing announcement confirms the pair names and the start time.

What Is Cetus, and What Does the CETUS Token Actually Do on Sui?

Cetus is a decentralized exchange built around concentrated liquidity, running across the Sui and Aptos ecosystems. Trades settle against on-chain liquidity pools rather than an order book run by a company, a split covered in these CEX and DEX differences.
The project’s token documentation lists Sui as the token’s network and caps supply at 1,000,000,000 CETUS. A cap isn’t the same as circulating supply, so the two shouldn’t be mixed up.
Then there’s xCETUS. Swapping CETUS for it is instant and 1:1. Going back is slower. The holder picks a vesting period, and the ratio climbs with the wait: 0.5 CETUS per xCETUS at 15 days, a full 1:1 at 180.
Nothing is paid out until the period ends, and whatever a shorter period leaves unclaimed is forfeited to the project’s treasury.
Holding xCETUS also feeds staking rewards and launchpad access. Governance is only a plan for now. The docs say it starts once the circulating supply reaches 90% of the total.

What Are the CETUS/USD and CETUS/EUR Spot Trading Pairs on OKX?

Both pairs are spot markets. A trader buys or sells the token itself at the going price, with no futures or perpetual contract involved. CETUS/USD is priced in US dollars. CETUS/EUR is priced in euros.
This isn’t the first CETUS listing on the exchange. OKX added the token on 10 May 2023 with a CETUS/USDT pair.
The new notice is labelled a general update and tells users to check regional availability in the app, so a scheduled listing doesn’t promise that every account will see both markets.

How Does the OKX Unified USD Order Book Work With CETUS/USD?

CETUS/USD is tagged as a unified USD pair. In practice, USD and USD-pegged stablecoins such as USDC feed one shared order book, a single live list of buy and sell orders.
The market still reads CETUS/USD when the payment comes from a stablecoin. This order book model guide covers the basics.
In the order panel, a Trade with selector sets the payment asset, and a Receive selector sets what comes back. OKX does any conversion behind the scenes and adds no charge for the choice.
The usual maker or taker fee for the account’s tier still applies. Which assets show up depends on the pair, the account, and the day, according to the unified USD order book guide.
A common stumbling block: the chosen asset has to sit in the trading account. Money in the Funding account, or assets tied up in Earn or margin, won’t count for a spot order. Dollar-linked tokens come in different types too, as deposit tokens and stablecoins explain.

How Is CETUS/EUR Different From CETUS/USD for Traders in Europe?

The simplest way to approach CETUS USD vs EUR Pairs is to look at what’s already in the account. Euros point to CETUS/EUR. Dollars, or a dollar stablecoin, point to CETUS/USD.
A made-up example shows why prices can’t be compared at a glance. 1,000 CETUS at €0.018 cost €18 before fees. 1,000 CETUS at $0.021 costs $21.
Neither number is a live quote, and the two aren’t equivalent. A fair comparison needs the same timestamp and the current EUR/USD rate.

What Fees and Liquidity Checks Matter Before Placing an Order?

Fees follow the account’s tier, and they differ for makers and takers. A maker leaves a resting order on the book. A taker hits one that’s already there. A guide to exchange trading fees helps with the arithmetic.
Spread and slippage can cost more than people expect. Say the best bid is €0.0180 and the best ask is €0.0184. That €0.0004 gap is the spread.
Now a big market order eats through several ask levels and fills at a higher average price than €0.0184. The extra is slippage. This crypto liquidity explained guide shows how depth drives it.

What Risks Should CETUS Spot Traders Understand Before Trading?

The listing adds access, nothing more. The token, its supply, and the protocol’s code are the same as before.

Smart contract risk:On 22 May 2025, an exploit hit Cetus’s concentrated liquidity pools. The project’s incident report traces it to a flaw in an open-source library its contract used, and the protocol relaunched on 8 June 2025. A relaunch doesn’t erase that history.

Volatility:Small DeFi tokens can swing hard in a day.

Thin books and region limits:New pairs often open with wide spreads, and access varies by country and account.

Rankings don’t prove depth on a single pair, so even exchanges with strong liquidity can show thin books right after a listing. How deep each book gets is still unknown.
The live order panel, the fee tier, and local availability are worth checking first-hand.

Cetus is a decentralized exchange protocol, and CETUS is its token, capped at 1,000,000,000. CETUS USD vs EUR pairs boil down to the quote currency, the order book, and the cost of trading, since the token behind both is the same.
Depth and regional access are the open questions. The order panel, fee tier, and local availability should be checked before any order goes in.
