Coinbase says the product passed $200 million in annualized revenue, with daily traders up more than 60% from the prior quarter.
CEO Brian Armstrong also framed crypto and AI as the forces rebuilding finance. This crypto news today report combines his latest update&nbsp;with Coinbase's earnings release.

Armstrong wrote that financial services is a massive industry. He said all fintech companies combined capture about 4% of global financial services revenue.<img alt="Fintech companies combined capture about 4% of global financial services revenue" src="https://d3iuzwoiyg9qa8.cloudfront.net/webadmin/storage/public/commonEditerImage/0eO3IAPFRr8gsZvlig5TNrTbyKSa8RB0zeKl0so5.jpg" width="300" height="621" title="Fintech companies combined capture about 4% of global financial services revenue">

He argued that crypto is replacing the rails through stablecoins and tokenization, while AI is replacing the interface through agents.
Coinbase, he said, is building a modern financial account that combines crypto rails, an AI interface, trading, payments, saving, and borrowing.

Revenue has grown at an 82% quarterly compound rate since launch, even though slower sports months.
Crypto news coverage often highlights the 82% figure, which is a compound rate since launch, not a one-quarter jump.
People who trade predictions also drive extra spot volume, per the release. CFO Alesia Haas called the line less correlated to crypto volatility.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-family-verdana-geneva-span-style-font-size-16px-how-did-trading-market-share-move-span-span-span">How Did Trading Market Share Move?</h2>
<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/price-prediction/coin-stock-jumps-10-as-coinbase-files-for-us-perpetual-futures" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Coinbase's crypto trading volume market</a> share reached 10.7%, its fourth straight quarter of gains, in both spot and derivatives.
Assets on the platform returned to 12.5% of total crypto market capitalization. Armstrong's latest update&nbsp;adds that market share nearly doubled since this time last year, a comparison the release does not state.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-family-verdana-geneva-span-style-font-size-16px-what-do-the-earnings-numbers-say-span-span-span">What Do the Earnings Numbers Say?</h2>
Net income was $719 million, but adjusted net income was only $78 million. In&nbsp;<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/coinbase-data-breach-claim-amplitude-security-incident" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Coinbase News terms</a>, the headline profit and the adjusted profit tell different stories.
The reconciliation shows why: $715.0 million of gains on crypto assets held for investment, which is almost all of net income (derived).
Adjusted EBITDA was $333 million, up 60% from the prior quarter and the 15th straight positive quarter. Subscriptions and services made up 49% of net revenue.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-family-verdana-geneva-span-style-font-size-16px-what-about-usdc-and-subscriptions-span-span-span">What About USDC and Subscriptions?</h2>
Average USDC held in Coinbase products reached $22 billion, a record for the fourteenth straight quarter and up 49% from a year earlier.
That is roughly 30% of average USDC market cap, per the release. Paid Coinbase One subscribers also hit a record, up 24% year over year. Armstrong's update&nbsp;notes a fifth straight record for subscribers.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-family-verdana-geneva-span-style-font-size-16px-what-should-readers-keep-in-mind-span-span-span">What Should Readers Keep in Mind?</h2>
Every figure here is company-reported. The release says some data comes from third-party sources that Coinbase has not independently verified, and its forward-looking statements carry risk.
It also describes a softer crypto market. Coinbase News summaries often lead with growth, yet the gap between net income and adjusted net income shows that the quarter's profit leaned on crypto gains.
Readers following the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-news-english" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">latest crypto news</a> on the Coinbase Q3 Update should read both documents.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-family-verdana-geneva-span-style-font-size-16px-conclusion-span-span-span">Conclusion</h2>
In crypto news today, the Coinbase Q3 Update shows a fast-growing prediction markets line and record USDC balances inside a softer market. Most of the quarter's net income came from crypto gains rather than core operations (derived). Whether prediction markets keep growing will show in the next report.
