The Aptos&nbsp;<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-news-english" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">news today</a>&nbsp;is about moving dollars across blockchains. In an October 29, 2026 update on X, the network confirmed that native USDC is issued directly on its chain and that Circle CCTP V2 is live.
<img alt="Aptos Official X-Post" src="https://d3iuzwoiyg9qa8.cloudfront.net/webadmin/storage/public/commonEditerImage/An1yKCZG1V4J739PwSmheFv9vDGRlckqQakeOqgx.jpg" width="300" height="579" title="Aptos Official X-Post">
The&nbsp;<a href="https://x.com/Aptos/status/2115654868727918753" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">official X post</a> says moving dollars between chains used to mean bridges, wrapped assets, and extra steps. It calls that the wrong model for global money. USDC is a regulated, fiat-backed stablecoin issued by Circle, so the native version comes straight from the issuer.
Aptos also says it is not just bringing stablecoins on-chain. It wants to provide the rails that make them useful.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-how-the-burn-and-mint-process-replaces-bridges-span-span">How the Burn-and-Mint Process Replaces Bridges</h3>
CCTP moves&nbsp;<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-currency-news/circle-usdc-news-native-integration-on-hyperliquid" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">native USDC</a>&nbsp;between Aptos and other supported networks. The token is burned on the source network, Circle attests to the burn, and an equal amount is minted on the destination network.
Circle describes its&nbsp;<a href="https://www.circle.com/cross-chain-transfer-protocol" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">cross-chain transfer protocol</a> as permissionless and says it needs no liquidity pools or locked collateral in bridges.
Native means the issuer creates and redeems the token on the target chain itself. Wrapped copies come from third parties, which adds trust assumptions and splits liquidity. That is why this&nbsp;<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/stablecoin-news-today-tokenized-stocks-growth" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">stablecoin news</a>&nbsp;matters beyond one chain.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-fast-transfers-and-hooks-are-the-two-big-upgrades-span-span">Fast Transfers and Hooks Are the Two Big Upgrades</h3>
The update names two V2 upgrades:
<ul>
 <li>Fast Transfers:USDC can arrive on Aptos from supported networks in seconds instead of minutes. Standard Transfers, tied to full finality, remain available.</li>
 <li>Hooks:when funds land, they can trigger a next step automatically, such as a trade, a loan, or a payment.</li>
</ul>
Standard transfers wait for source-chain finality, so the speed gain in this Aptos news shows most on inbound moves.
The V2 protocol first arrived in March 2025, and the company explains the changes in its&nbsp;<a href="https://www.circle.com/blog/cctp-version-updates" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">version updates</a> post.
Hooks stand out for&nbsp;<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/chainlink-news-custodysync-institutional-defi-lending" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">DeFi news</a>&nbsp;since one transfer can start a trade or loan without a second manual step.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-what-this-aptos-news-means-for-builders-and-users-span-span">What This Aptos News Means for Builders and Users</h3>
The network says the upgrade gives builders better tools for payments, trading, and other financial apps that run across ecosystems.
On Aptos, which uses domain ID 9, the upgrade runs through four packages: MessageTransmitterV2, TokenMessengerMinterV2, StablecoinHandler, and CctpExtensions. Circle lists mainnet and testnet addresses in its&nbsp;<a href="https://developers.circle.com/cctp/references/aptos-packages" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Aptos packages reference</a>.
Receipt structs follow a hot potato pattern. They must be consumed in the same transaction for safety.
For everyday users, the goal is simpler, according to the post. Dollars should be usable wherever they are needed, with fewer steps in between.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-aptos-stablecoin-update-timeline-and-what-comes-next-span-span">Aptos Stablecoin Update: Timeline and What Comes Next</h3>
<ul>
 <li>January 30, 2025: Native USDC and the original CCTP V1 went live on Aptos.</li>
 <li>March 2025: Circle launched V2 with Fast Transfers and Hooks.</li>
 <li>July 31, 2026: the manual phase-out of V1 began.</li>
 <li>August 25, 2026: V2 support was added for Aptos.</li>
</ul>
Circle’s&nbsp;<a href="https://developers.circle.com/release-notes/cctp-2026" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">release notes</a> confirm the August date, and V2 is now the standard as V1 fades out.
Results will depend on adoption. The post behind this Aptos news gives no transfer volumes, fees, or full network lists, so readers should check Circle’s documentation and verify contract addresses on official pages before interacting.
CCTP V2 now gives the network a faster, bridge-free route for native USDC. Later&nbsp;<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-news-english" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Aptos news</a>&nbsp;will show real usage, and fresh crypto updates should follow.
