Any Bitcoin price prediction 2026-2030 has to start from a market that’s well off its peak. BTC traded at $81,305 at 16:43 UTC on October 29, 2026, according to CoinGecko market data, roughly 35% below its all-time high. The ranges below combine that data with published forecasts from Standard Chartered, ARK Invest and Bitwise. They’re estimates, not promises.

Key Takeaways

BTC is down about 27% year on year and trades close to the average price paid by U.S. spot ETF holders.

The upcoming halving, expected around April 2028, cuts new supply to roughly 225 BTC a day.

Published 2030 forecasts range from about $150,000 to $710,000 in central cases.

Our editorial scenarios are ranges with wide uncertainty. Bitcoin can fall sharply, and losses can be total.

Price history and key levels

Bitcoin’s all-time high is $126,080, set on October 6, 2025. Its all-time low on CoinGecko is $67.81. Fortune noted that BTC ended 2025 about 30% below that peak. A year ago it traded near $110,044, according to Fortune’s October 29 price report.

In June 2026, BTC dropped toward $59,000. Standard Chartered’s Geoff Kendrick called that the “likely low” of the cycle and blamed forced selling, weak ETF flows and liquidity stress, crypto.news reported.

Overhead, the $85,000 area matters. Decrypt, citing Glassnode, reported that about 4 million BTC were bought above $85,000 and that this supply could cap a recovery.
The 2028 halving and fixed supply

The upcoming halving is expected around April 2028. It will cut the block subsidy from 3.125 BTC to 1.5625 BTC and bring daily new supply toward about 225 BTC, per Cryptonews. More than 95% of the 21 million cap is already in circulation. How much a smaller flow of new coins will matter for price remains an open question.

ETFs and institutional products

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs had total net assets of $104.71 billion, according to TokenPost citing SoSoValue, as ad-hoc-news reported. Flows swing hard: $526.6 million came in on October 19 and $635.49 million left on October 22. CryptoTimes reported $137.33 million in inflows on October 28. New wrappers keep arriving too. Bitcoin Magazine reported that Franklin Templeton launched two Nasdaq-listed ETFs that reinvest stock dividends into bitcoin. One of them, FBEQ, tracks an index that starts with 95% in large U.S. stocks and 5% in BTC.

Interest rates

On October 28 the Fed held its target range at 3.75% to 4.00%, with Lisa Cook and Beth Hammack dissenting in favor of a quarter-point increase, NewsBTC reported. The outlet framed the key question for Bitcoin as whether that message nudges holders to keep cash rather than add exposure. We looked at the market reaction in our piece on the Fed’s hawkish hold and Bitcoin.

Risks

Bitcoin can lose a large share of its value fast. It’s down about 27% in a year and fell roughly half from its peak to the June low. Even Bitwise’s long-term model, which produces a $1.6 million target, assumes a 50% drawdown along the way.

Other risks include persistent ETF outflows, a Fed rate hike, regulatory changes in major markets, exchange or custody failures, and scams that target self-custody users. Seed phrases should never be shared, as anyone holding one can move the funds. Tax treatment differs by country, so a qualified professional is the right source for local rules.

Methodology and assumptions

The bearish column assumes tight rates, weak ETF demand and a retest of the June 2026 low near $59,000, with a deeper drawdown possible in 2027. The base case assumes slow ETF adoption and a muted halving effect. It ends 2030 inside the $150,000 to $200,000 band that, per Yahoo Finance, banks and trend-based forecasting sites tend to cite.

The bullish column follows the big institutional calls. Standard Chartered cut its 2026 year-end target from $150,000 to $100,000 in February but kept $500,000 for 2030, bit.fan reported. ARK Invest’s central 2030 case is near $710,000, with a $1.5 million bull case, according to Yahoo Finance. Both ARK figures assume Bitcoin becomes a serious rival to gold, which may not happen. Bitwise raised its 10-year target from $1.3 million to $1.6 million, implying a 34.3% compound annual growth rate, KuCoin News reported. CryptoTimes added that the report, released on October 28, puts that base case in 2036. We also covered it in our Bitwise BTC target update.

FAQ

Is the Bitcoin price prediction 2026-2030 reliable?

No forecast is reliable over four years. The ranges are scenarios built on current data and public analyst targets, and real prices can land far outside them.

How much could Bitcoin be worth in 2030?

Published views range widely: about $150,000 to $200,000 from banks and trend models, $500,000 from Standard Chartered and roughly $710,000 in ARK’s central case.

When is the 2028 Bitcoin halving expected?

It’s expected around April 2028, reducing the block reward to 1.5625 BTC. For nearer-term levels, see our BTC outlook for 2026.

Could Bitcoin fall below $60,000 again?

It’s possible. BTC dropped toward $59,000 in June 2026, and our bearish scenario allows for a retest or lower if liquidity tightens.
