Resistance

DOGE is bouncing a few hours before the Federal Reserve's rate decision. Can it hold? One trader says a double bottom is under way, but the price is still under both EMAs shown on the daily chart.
This Dogecoin Price Prediction covers the FOMC update, the liquidation data and a step-by-step chart read.
Market data checked on October 28, 2026, at 10:41 IST, before the Fed decision.

Why is DOGE price up today?

The Dogecoin price today is up 3% to $0.07967 in 24h, outperforming a broader market that rose 1.45%. The move appears primarily driven by a beta-led recovery as Bitcoin regained footing, with no clear coin-specific catalyst visible in the provided data.
Primary reason: Beta-driven lift from Bitcoin's recovery, fueled by a return to ETF inflows.
Secondary reasons: Rotation into meme coin sector and a modest uptick in trading volume.

FOMC Update: What the Fed Decides Today

The FOMC, the Fed's rate-setting committee, meets on October 27 and 28. Its decision is due at 2 pm Eastern on October 28, about 11:30 pm IST. The rate sits at 3.75%–4.00% after a quarter-point hike in September, the first in about three years. Kiplinger's live coverage cites CME FedWatch odds near 90% for a hold today and 73% for a hike in December.
Higher rates can weigh on risk assets such as crypto. A hold is already expected, so Chair Kevin Warsh's tone in December may matter more than the decision itself.

Dogecoin News: Double Bottom Pattern

The trader posted about the double bottom ongoing on the DOGE weekly chart. A double bottom is a pattern with two similar lows, and it is confirmed only after price breaks above the peak between them. CoinGabbar could not verify it.

A liquidation happens when an exchange force-closes a leveraged trade because the trader can no longer cover losses. Longs bet on a rise, and shorts bet on a fall.

Shorts took about 75% of the $1.11M liquidated over 24 hours and about 89% of the 12-hour total. Shorts lose when price rises, which fits the bounce.
Coinglass futures volume leads with Binance at $273.45M, OKX at $158.73M, Gate at $103.36M, MEXC at $90.77M and Bybit at $57.27M. The screenshot gives no time window.

DOGE rallied from about $0.07 in August to near $0.10007 in late September. It has since moved lower inside a falling channel, a pair of downward-sloping boundaries that hold price in a range.
Price made lower highs and lower lows through October and bounced near the $0.07505 level. Today's candle opened at $0.07907, ranged from $0.07865 to $0.08030 and printed $0.07967.
Price is about 2.2% under the 20 EMA and 5.4% under the 50 EMA, and the 20 EMA sits below the 50 EMA, a bearish order. The $0.08196 level sits just above the 20 EMA.
ZEC is squeezing inside a channel between, so a sharp move can come right after the Fed news. A candle close above with rising volume would show buyers taking over and could pull retail traders in, with the next resistance as the first level to watch.
A close below the lower channel line would break the structure and put next support in focus, so wait for the candle close and volume before trusting either side.

Bull case: A daily close above the 20 EMA at $0.08144 and then $0.08196 would test the 50 EMA at $0.08397, with $0.09008 next.
Bear case: If DOGE closes below $0.07505, price could slide about 12% from today toward $0.07001.

It would take a gain of about 26% from $0.07967. Any DOGE price prediction toward that level needs more than a bounce, since DOGE must clear both EMAs, $0.08196 and $0.09008 first.

Dogecoin Price Prediction: Expert View

DOGE is still under both EMAs, so a daily close above $0.08196 would be the first real sign of strength. Until then, $0.07505 is the level to watch, because a close below it would put $0.07001 back in focus.
