NEAR Protocol (@NEARProtocol) $NEAR has launched ANT perpetual futures tied to AI company Anthropic (@AnthropicAI) on near.com, with support from Hyperliquid. Traders can use up to 10x leverage, and positions are designed to remain private.

How the ANT contract works

According to Crypto Times, NEAR announced the contract on October 27. The report says ANT is powered by Hyperliquid and TradeXYZ and tracks Anthropic's expected pre-IPO share price. NEAR says individual positions are not publicly visible.

Perpetual contracts have no fixed expiration date, as noted by TokenPost. The product gives price exposure without share ownership. Crypto Times reports that ANT does not represent Anthropic shares or confer rights to any future IPO. Cryptonews.net adds that the instruments are high-risk and cash-settled, and are not available to U.S. residents because of regulatory restrictions.

The privacy feature builds on earlier work. Crypto Briefing reported that, from September 17, perpetual positions opened through NEAR's trading interfaces route deposits through a confidential shard, which hides ownership and deposit origins from public view. The same report said NEAR integrated Hyperliquid's perpetual futures engine on June 9.

Why the timing matters

The launch follows Anthropic's public IPO filing. The Epoch Times reported that the company filed its Form S-1 with the SEC on October 26 and plans to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker ANT. Channel Insider reported that the filing shows $16.3 billion in revenue for the first half of 2026, compared with $1.163 billion in the same period of 2025.

The filing also showed an $80.7 billion net loss. Channel Insider said this was largely driven by noncash accounting adjustments, while the company's operating loss for the period was $693 million.

Pricing and timing for the offering are still unsettled. TechPowerUp noted that the filing leaves the price range and share count blank, and that trading is reportedly targeted for the week of November 16.

For traders, ANT offers a way to take a leveraged view on Anthropic's valuation before any public listing. Leverage amplifies losses as well as gains, and the contract's price is derived from market estimates rather than a traded share price.
