Pi Network News today centers on an ecosystem strengthening move. With 21 days left before the first Pi Ecosystem Summit on 17–19 November, OpenBrew is building a café delivery feature paid in Pi and protected by a smart contract escrow.

Meanwhile, the $PI coin itself sits at $0.07574, up 0.35% in 24 hours, per CoinMarketCap. A quiet chart and a busy builder calendar make this a good moment to separate what exists from what is only promised.

OpenBrew is a Pi testnet app built around cafés. Its delivery feature is still in development, but the design is clear. Customers would order coffee beans, cold brew, bakery items or mugs, and the payment would sit in escrow until the order arrives. Only then would the café be paid. No completed delivery has been shown yet.

What the OpenBrew testnet listing offers:

Brew Cafés: free listings for café owners, aimed at Pi’s 60 million-plus engaged Pioneers, a figure from Pi’s own blog

Brew Meet: local meetups and gatherings

Brew Moments: shared coffee stories and café finds

Brew Delivery: escrow-backed orders, still in development

Pi needs everyday uses beyond mining, and Pi OpenBrew targets one people already understand. Real proof would be completed orders and cafés that stay after the pilot. Until then, testnet tokens carry no value, and nobody should pay real money for them.

Pi Network news today brings little price reaction. CoinMarketCap data shows:

Fully diluted valuation: $7.57B

Circulating supply: 11.29B of 100B PI

The 24-hour chart peaked near $0.0767 before easing. Bitcoin price direction usually sets the mood for mid-cap tokens, and no Pi-specific trigger explains the drift.
With only about 11% of supply circulating, later unlocks could weigh on any gain in demand.

Pi Network 2026 Upgrades: Protocol 28 and the Pi Desktop Update

Pi Network news on the technical side has been busy. Protocol 28 reached Mainnet in mid-October, adding batch smart contract upgrades and safer app data changes. The public Mainnet endpoint shows version 28.0.1.
The Pi desktop update followed. Version 0.6.4, announced by the Core Team on X, targets SoloHost, which lets Pioneers run self-hosted software such as AI agents on a personal computer.
Per the official release notes:

Remote access now sets itself up, with no router port forwarding

The feature stays optional, and existing users switch through “Reconnect”

Permissions are checked before installation and at every launch

Apps stay confined to their own files and network reach

Pi Network Ecosystem Summit: What Builders Can Expect in November

The Pi Network ecosystem summit runs online from 17 to 19 November, per the Core Team announcement. It is the first Pi event aimed only at app developers, with platform releases, demos, app showcases, Core Team talks and a new hackathon. Pi’s blog also cites 300-plus Mainnet apps, 420,000-plus nodes and 18.1 million KYC-verified users. All of those figures are self-reported.
Payments remain the open question. A test OUSD stablecoin runs on Pi Testnet with no value, while the official Open USD partnership, announced on 30 September, has no date or contract address. The Core Team says any stablecoin would sit beside Pi, not replace it.
Three markers will show whether the Pi ecosystem is maturing: a working OpenBrew delivery, a transparent hackathon and app usage that outsiders can verify. Until they arrive, Pi Network news will reward evidence over hype, and the Pi coin price will likely follow the wider market.
