Sui Network News today shows a wide gap between progress and price. Cetus Protocol has launched AI tools, Samsung Wallet is set to reach 82 million US Galaxy phones, and a16z-backed DATA is moving to Sui with a $30M investment from the Sui Foundation. Yet SUI trades near $0.90, according to CoinMarketCap.

Cetus, a leading Sui DEX, has released Cetus Skills, a set of Claude Code skills that let AI agents work with the protocol directly. Agents can swap tokens and manage liquidity through code, with no manual clicks. That points toward AI-native DeFi, where software places many of the trades.

The Samsung deal brings USDC to eligible US Galaxy devices. The rollout is set for the last week of October 2026. Transfers are gasless, which relies on a feature that went live on Sui Mainnet in May 2026. That is one of the Sui network upgrades with the clearest consumer use.

DATA, formerly Story Protocol, is shutting its own blockchain and becoming a native Sui protocol, as theSui official blog explains. The team chose shared infrastructure over running its own chain, which saves cost and effort.

Sui Foundation stake: $30M, making it the largest institutional holder

Trace registry: over 250 million contributions and 3 million receipts a day

Token swap: 1:1, with vesting and rights preserved

Storage: Walrus becomes the default layer

Staking at 70.79% and Hashi’s Bitcoin Rollout Back the Fundamentals

Network data shows 70.79% of SUI supply is staked across 125 validators. Ethereum’s figure is about 36%. High staking helps secure the chain and trims the liquid supply, though it does not guarantee demand.
Hashi, a Bitcoin infrastructure project, is preparing its mainnet rollout with over $500 million committed. A recent test also reached about 40.6 million transactions per second using offchain tunnels.
That was a controlled demo, not live mainnet performance, so it shows potential rather than daily capacity. For the latest Sui network crypto news, live usage data matters more than test results.

Sui network price today as of October 26, per CoinMarketCap:

SUI price: $0.9165, down 0.2% in 24 hours

Rank: #26, market cap $3.77B

24-hour volume: $328.6M, down 10.28%

Fully diluted value: $9.16B

Circulating supply: 4.11B of 10B

The disconnect has a plain explanation. Gasless USDC means many new users may never need SUI. Only 41% of the supply circulates, so the fully diluted value is more than double the market cap.
Samsung’s launch in the final week of October is the first real test. Usage and fee data from that rollout will show whether this Sui network news turns into lasting SUI demand.
