One billion tokens. Five times leverage. No spot market. At 08:15 UTC on October 25, Binance Futures opened pre-market trading on PREDICTUSDT, a USDⓈ-margined perpetual tied to Predict.fun’s PREDICT token, and capped positions at 5x. The exchange said in its listing notice that the contract was added “to expand the list of trading choices offered on Binance Futures and to enhance users’ trading experience.” The token behind the ticker has a fixed total supply of 1,000,000,000 PREDICT and no spot listing on any venue, which makes this the purest kind of price discovery: traders are setting a value on an asset before the asset itself can be bought or sold on a spot market.

For anyone asking what the PREDICT token is, the short answer sits in Binance’s own project note: “Predict is a prediction market on BNB Chain, enabling predictions on future outcomes across a range of categories.” That is the whole pitch — a platform where users stake tokens on event outcomes, and a perpetual contract that lets traders take leveraged directional bets on the platform’s native token before its token generation event has concluded. The listing is a bet on the prediction-market sector, not on a balance sheet.

What Binance Actually Listed

The contract is a pre-market perpetual. It settles in USDT and prices PREDICT off its own recent trades rather than a spot index, because no spot index exists yet. The mark price is the average of the last ten seconds of trade prices, recalculated every second, with a ±1% cap on how far the mark can move in any single second. If fewer than 21 trades print in that window, the calculation falls back to the last 20 transaction prices. That is the mechanical answer to the first question a data desk asks: how stable is the price feed on an asset with no underlying market? The ±1% per-second cap is Binance’s own answer — tight enough to stop a thin book from whipsawing the mark, loose enough to let real orders move it.

The leverage is five times, and the funding mechanics are worth reading closely. During the pre-market phase, funding is capped at +0.005% per four-hour interval — six settlements a day, or 0.03% daily. After the contract transitions to a standard perpetual, the cap widens to +2.00% / −2.00% per interval. Put those side by side and the gap is 400 times: the standard band is four hundred times wider than the pre-market band. Binance is pricing the uncertainty of a pre-TGE token directly into its funding curve.

Other specifications are small and deliberate: a tick size of 0.0001, a minimum trade of 1 PREDICT, and a minimum notional of 5 USDT. Multi-Assets Mode is supported, so a trader can use BTC as margin against the position. Total and maximum supply are both fixed at 1,000,000,000 PREDICT, which means the valuation math has exactly one moving part — price.

Prediction Markets Are Having a Moment

Binance is not entering a quiet sector. Polymarket, the largest on-chain prediction market, moved into derivatives in early September, launching perpetual trading with up to 20x leverage. Kalshi, its main U.S. rival, has spent 2026 in and out of court over which states can regulate its sports and event contracts. Predict.fun is the BNB Chain entry in the same category, and a Binance Futures perpetual is the exchange placing a leveraged flag in that race.

The sector’s economics are the part that matters for the token. Prediction markets earn from trading volume and fees, and their tokens are a claim on that activity. A pre-market perpetual lets a trader express a view on Predict.fun’s traction without touching the platform itself — the token can be bought or shorted before the market that mints it has proven its volume. That is both the opportunity and the risk, and it is why the funding cap is so tight.

Futures Is Not Spot

The fine print matters more than the headline here. Binance states it plainly: “Futures and spot token listings are not correlated. A token listed on Binance Futures does not indicate nor guarantee that it will be listed on Binance Spot.” A pre-market perpetual is a derivatives listing, not an endorsement of the token, and it carries no promise that PREDICT will ever trade on Binance’s spot market or anywhere else.

There is also a supply question the notice does not answer. It gives a total and maximum supply of 1,000,000,000 PREDICT but no circulating supply, and Predict.fun has not completed a public token generation event. The 1 billion figure is the ceiling, not the float. Any implied valuation built from the pre-market price and the 1 billion supply is an upper bound, not a market cap. Every $0.01 of pre-market price equals $10 million of implied fully-diluted value — 1,000,000,000 × $0.01 — so a $1.00 mark would imply a $1 billion ceiling valuation for a token with no circulating float and no spot market. The arithmetic is clean; the assumption behind it is the risk.

The conservative leverage is the tell. Polymarket’s perpetuals opened at 20x. Binance set PREDICTUSDT at 5x and capped the mark price at ±1% per second. A major exchange does not hand a brand-new, pre-TGE token the same leverage it gives established assets, and the 400-times funding-band math above is the same caution expressed as a number.

What Changes When a Spot Market Appears

The contract is designed to outgrow its pre-market phase. Binance says the pre-market perpetual will “gradually” convert to a standard perpetual once a stable index price can be derived from spot markets, with the mark price converging from the ten-second trade average to the median of the standard three-price formula. When — or whether — a spot listing arrives is the single biggest variable left on the table. The transition is automatic on the mechanics side; the spot listing is not.

For the token itself, the next observable signals are a token generation event, a first spot listing on any venue, and the funding-rate transition on the Binance contract. Until one of those lands, PREDICTUSDT is a derivatives island: a real, tradable contract on an asset whose only price is the one this contract prints. That is the data point to watch, and it is the same family of mechanics as the Binance bStocks collateral move, where tokenized stocks are already accepted as margin — Binance is once again letting one asset class stand in for another.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Predict.fun’s PREDICT token?

PREDICT is the native token of Predict.fun, a prediction market on BNB Chain where users take positions on the outcome of future events. Binance Futures opened a pre-market perpetual for the token on October 25, 2026, with a fixed total supply of 1,000,000,000 PREDICT.
Is PREDICT listed on Binance Spot?

No. Binance has listed only a futures perpetual (PREDICTUSDT), and the exchange’s notice states that futures and spot listings are not correlated and that a futures listing does not guarantee a spot listing. There is no spot market for PREDICT yet.
What is pre-market perpetual trading?

A pre-market perpetual prices a token off its own recent trades rather than a spot index, because no spot index exists. On PREDICTUSDT the mark price is the average of the last ten seconds of trades with a ±1% per-second cap, and it converts to a standard perpetual once a stable spot price emerges.
What leverage does the PREDICT perpetual offer?

Up to 5x, with USDT settlement and Multi-Assets Mode support for margin like BTC. Funding is capped at +0.005% per four-hour interval during the pre-market phase, widening to ±2.00% after the contract transitions to a standard perpetual.
What is PREDICT’s total supply?

Total and maximum supply are both 1,000,000,000 PREDICT. Binance has not stated a circulating supply and Predict.fun’s token generation event has not concluded, so any valuation from the pre-market price is a fully-diluted ceiling rather than a market cap.
