Both ChangeNOW and StealthEX are non-custodial, no-registration crypto swap services. The practical difference: ChangeNOW will trigger compliance review for large transactions. StealthEX has no published upper limit and markets genuinely unlimited no-KYC. For standard amounts, ChangeNOW wins on fiat support, track record, and API adoption. For large no-KYC swaps specifically, StealthEX is the documented alternative.

We tested it (October 2026)

We pulled the ChangeNOW homepage live via TinyFish on October 14, 2026. The swap widget loaded in under 2 seconds. Current count: 1000+ assets, 1M+ supported currency pairs. The homepage advertises a 98% Triumph Rate — meaning 98% of swaps complete at or within 0.5% of the quoted rate over the last 3 months. Minimum is $2, no stated upper limit. Average exchange time shows as approximately 1 minute for common pairs. StealthEX's homepage was also live-checked at time of test; both services were showing active swap widgets. StealthEX displayed no KYC prompt on its interface; ChangeNOW showed no KYC prompt for amounts within standard retail range, consistent with its threshold-triggered model.

No-KYC claims: what the policies actually allow

No account is required to request a quote or begin a standard crypto swap on either platform. That convenience is different from a promise that identity verification can never occur.

ChangeNOW's policy permits a compliance check when transaction monitoring identifies elevated risk. StealthEX's July 2026 terms incorporate a separate AML/KYC policy and define formal identity verification. Its FAQ also says fiat providers require KYC when purchases exceed the equivalent of $700 per user. That published $700 rule concerns provider-based fiat buying; it should not be presented as a universal threshold for every crypto-to-crypto swap.

For floating-rate crypto exchanges, StealthEX states that it has no maximum exchange limit. This describes transaction sizing, not immunity from risk screening. A large amount, a flagged source address, sanctions exposure, or a liquidity-provider alert can still create additional review. The accurate wording is therefore no published maximum for floating-rate swaps, not “no KYC at any amount.”

A Monero user report about a $2,600 privacy-coin route says ChangeNOW requested KYC and proof of funds after receiving the deposit. The account is not independently verifiable and does not establish a fixed threshold, but it demonstrates why privacy-coin users should read the AML policy and retain source-of-funds evidence before sending.

Rates, fees, and amount limits

Both services include expected costs in the output estimate rather than presenting a conventional maker/taker schedule. The final received amount can reflect liquidity-provider trading costs, the input and output network fees, service routing, and any premium for locking a fixed rate.

StealthEX's FAQ says the received amount can differ from the estimate during a floating-rate swap. If the market moves abruptly by more than 5%, StealthEX may stop the exchange and ask the user to accept a new rate or request a refund. Its fixed-rate option is intended for users who need a predictable output. ChangeNOW also offers fixed and floating modes, so comparisons must use the same mode on both sites.

A small-amount StealthEX review, collected October 21, 2026, describes a fast swap and a fair fee but slower recognition of the initial deposit. That experience is consistent with a two-stage process: first the input transaction must be detected and confirmed, then the liquidity provider executes the conversion. It does not prove that every pair will settle at the same speed.

Step-by-step comparison

ChangeNOW

Select the send asset, receive asset, amount, and fixed or floating rate.

Enter the destination wallet and verify its network.

Save the exchange ID and send the exact deposit amount to the generated address.

Track the deposit, exchange, and payout stages until the output transaction confirms.

StealthEX

Select the pair and amount, then compare the fixed and floating outputs when both are available.

Enter the receiving address and optional refund address if offered.

Send the deposit within the quoted window and retain the StealthEX exchange ID.

Track the provider conversion and verify the payout transaction on the destination blockchain.

Neither service can reverse an output that was sent to a valid but incorrect address. A small test transaction is appropriate when using a new asset or wallet, but deliberately splitting transfers to bypass compliance controls is not.

Fiat support. StealthEX has no fiat. ChangeNOW supports card buy with 47+ fiat currencies. If your entry point is fiat, ChangeNOW is the only option here.

Track record volume. 450,000+ Trustpilot reviews vs StealthEX's 10,000+. ChangeNOW's score is verified across a much larger sample. StealthEX's higher per-review score is less statistically significant given the sample difference.

API adoption.ChangeNOW's API is integrated into more wallets and products than StealthEX. For users inside a wallet that embeds swap functionality, ChangeNOW is more likely to be the underlying provider.

Settlement on common pairs. ChangeNOW's 5-20 minute range on BTC/ETH/USDT pairs is well-documented. StealthEX's range is wider at 5-30 minutes per provider documentation.

No published upper limit. StealthEX is the documented choice for large no-KYC swaps. ChangeNOW will trigger compliance review at higher amounts, exact threshold varies. StealthEX has no publicly stated ceiling.

Coin coverage. StealthEX lists 1,400+ coins vs ChangeNOW's 1000+. For obscure altcoins, StealthEX may have coverage ChangeNOW lacks.

Coinwy Editorial — My take: Ok-Pea-6054's account matters: the freeze was on a $2,600 XMR swap, well within what most users would consider a normal retail amount. ChangeNOW's compliance threshold for XMR is clearly lower than the service implies. For XMR specifically, StealthEX's no-limit claim has more community backing — the risk calculus shifts.
