Blockchain security firm SlowMist has flagged a reported loss of approximately $86,000 in UNCX Token, allegedly tied to a flaw in the protocol's VestingManager contract cancellation logic. The report attributes the incident to a vulnerability in how vesting schedules can be cancelled, though the available information does not include independently verified transaction details, a confirmed attacker address, or an official response from the UNCX project team.

SlowMist reports an $86,000 UNCX Token loss

According to SlowMist's alert, the reported $86,000 loss involved UNCX Token and is linked to a cancellation-related issue within the protocol's VestingManager component. SlowMist, which monitors on-chain activity and smart contract behavior across multiple networks, published the report as part of its ongoing security monitoring. The firm has previously flagged similar contract-level issues, including a reported 5.08 ETH loss tied to a calculation issue in Set Protocol's actualizeFee function.
The reported figure of $86,000 appears in SlowMist's alert as an estimated loss amount. No block explorer transaction hash, wallet address, or on-chain data confirming this figure was included in the available research, and readers should treat the amount as reported rather than independently verified.
The alleged VestingManager cancellation flaw

Vesting management contracts govern the release of tokens to recipients over a defined schedule, and cancellation functions within such contracts can be security-sensitive if not properly restricted or validated. SlowMist's report ties the alleged loss to a flaw in the cancellation logic of a VestingManager contract associated with UNCX Token. No specific function name, code path, or exploit steps were included in the available information. For related coverage, see VanEck Withdraws Lido Staked Ethereum ETF Registration.

SlowMist has flagged similar contract-level vulnerabilities in other DeFi protocols. For example, the firm previously identified an issue in an Aave v3 Loop Safe Module that reportedly resulted in a loss of 114.09 ETH. In both cases, the firm's alerts serve as early warnings pending further confirmation from the affected projects.

The research available does not establish whether the flaw involves improper access controls, a reentrancy condition, or miscalculated token accounting on cancellation. Those technical details would typically appear in a formal post-mortem or audit report, neither of which has been referenced in the current alert.

What this means for UNCX holders and protocol users

UNCX Token is associated with the UniCrypt decentralized finance platform, which provides token vesting and liquidity locking services. A flaw in a vesting-related contract carries direct relevance for any project or individual relying on UniCrypt's VestingManager for token distribution. Users and project teams should monitor the official UniCrypt and SlowMist channels for confirmation of the reported vulnerability and any remediation steps.

No recovery outcome, patch deployment, or official statement from the UNCX project team is included in the available information. Until a formal response is published, the reported $86,000 loss and its cause should be treated as unconfirmed. Readers are encouraged to verify details directly through SlowMist's published alerts and any subsequent disclosures from the UNCX team before drawing conclusions about the protocol's current security status.
