<p>The official <a href="https://x.com/Litecoin" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">@Litecoin</a> account on X has gone public with a sharp accusation against <a href="https://x.com/Reddit" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">@Reddit</a>'s flagship r/CryptoCurrency forum, alleging a coordinated effort to suppress positive content about the cryptocurrency. The statement has drawn attention from the broader crypto community and raised questions about moderation practices on one of the internet's most influential crypto discussion boards.</p>
<p>"There's a concerted effort on r/CryptoCurrency to ban anything positive about Litecoin. Litecoin supporters simply posting general news should not be banned and/or suspended. This needs to stop," Litecoin wrote on X.</p>
<p>Forum members have corroborated the claim, noting selective post deletions and account suspensions tied specifically to positive <a href="https://x.com/search?q=%24LTC&amp;src=cashtag_click" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">$LTC</a> coverage. According to Crypto Times, the accusation appears to have been partly triggered after at least one user reported being banned following a post about a Litecoin partnership announcement. The subreddit's moderators have not publicly responded to the allegations.</p>

<p>The controversy is notable given Litecoin's standing as one of the oldest and most established cryptocurrencies in the market. Launched in October 2011 by Charlie Lee, a former Google engineer, Litecoin was designed as a faster, more accessible alternative to Bitcoin, using a Scrypt-based proof-of-work algorithm with a block time of roughly 2.5 minutes and a capped supply of 84 million coins, according to Fidelity's learning center.</p>
<p>Often described as the silver to Bitcoin's gold, Litecoin has maintained a long track record of network uptime and broad exchange support. Suppression of organic discussion about the project on a major public forum, if substantiated, could affect how new and prospective users discover and evaluate the asset.</p>
<p>As of now, no evidence in the form of ban notices or removed post logs has been published by Litecoin to support the claim, and r/CryptoCurrency's moderation team has yet to comment. The situation remains unresolved.</p>
