Upbit will open trading for the Pons token at 14:00 KST on October 8, 2026, giving the Robinhood Chain launchpad coin direct access to Korean won, Bitcoin and Tether pairs.

The Upbit Pons launch arrives as PONS trades near $0.42, with 24-hour volume up over 80%. It is among the busiest names in the new token listing October 2026, and the fine print in the notice matters as much as the price.

The Pons Upbit listing covers three markets, according to the exchange's official notice, posted at 11:37 on October 8:

Markets: KRW, BTC and USDT

Network: Robinhood Chain only

Deposits and withdrawals: open within 90 minutes of the notice

Trading start: 14:00 KST

Two conditions stand out. Transfers on any other network are not supported, so depositors must choose the right one. Upbit also says trading may be postponed if liquidity looks thin once transfers open. That makes the start time a target, not a promise.
This new token listing Upbit is also not the first for PONS. The token began on decentralised pools and spread quickly across centralised venues:

Early listings (July to August):LBank, Poloniex, MEXC, BTSE, BingX, Gate.io, KuCoin and Bitrue

Later additions:Binance Alpha, OKX, Bybit, HTX, Bitget, XT.com, Toobit and Kraken

Coinbase:full spot trading from October 7

Upbit therefore adds a Korean won gateway to a token that is already widely available.

Pons price today surged over 4%, while the overall crypto market is down 1.48% while Bitcoin slipped to $82.8K (-1.50%). CoinMarketCap data from October 8 shows the following:

Price: $0.4297, up 4.8% in 24 hours

Market cap: $292.01 million, up 4.77%

Fully diluted valuation (FDV): $292.01 million

Circulating supply: 679.49 million PONS

The Pons price rally has been uneven. The chart slipped to roughly $0.375 overnight, then jumped toward $0.43 by morning. Daily volume now equals about a third of market cap, a turnover level that often brings sharp swings around a listing.

Pons Launchpad on Robinhood Chain Works: Turns Fees Into Token Burns

Pons family is a non-custodial launchpad on Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum Orbit Layer-2 that opened its public mainnet on July 1, 2026, as per official docs.
Pons Labs runs it, and it is not an official Robinhood product. Creators can mint a fixed-supply token in one transaction with no code or review. The current V2 design starts each token on a bonding curve, then moves it into a locked Uniswap V4 pool.
The fee mechanics drive the Pons token's value case:

Launch fee:0.0005 ETH plus gas

Trading fee:usually 1%, split 70% to the creator and 30% to the protocol

Buybacks: about 80% of the protocol share buys PONS, which is then burned

Burn progress: roughly 32% of the original 1 billion supply is gone

Holding a token launched on the platform gives no exposure to PONS itself.

Pons Crypto News: Key Risks Behind the Listing and What Comes Next

Pons crypto news also centres on activity. Reports point to hundreds of thousands of launches and billions in cumulative volume through graduated pools, which feeds the fee income behind the burns. Volume of that kind is not proof of lasting demand, though.
Most crypto tokens launched on the platform are short-lived. Locked liquidity blocks one kind of rug pull, but creator selling, contract flaws and sudden price drops remain.
Before moving funds, traders should check four points:

Contract: 0x39dBED3a2bd333467115dE45665cC57F813C4571, confirmed on an explorer

Liquidity:order book depth after trading opens

Position size:an amount that can be lost in full

Upbit's order books will now test whether Korean won demand can absorb the burn-driven supply story the Pons token carries. A postponement, thin depth or fading volume would show up fast.
