TOKEN2049 opens its doors on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, for two days and 25,000 participants expected, according to the organizer. For this edition, the only one of the year since the Dubai event was postponed to 2027, the president of Nasdaq, the leader of Franklin Templeton, and officials from BlackRock, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs are among the speakers. Cointribune explains what this presence of Wall Street says about the event, what to follow on the program, and the cost of the ticket one week before the opening.

When and Where is TOKEN2049 Singapore 2026 Held?

On Wednesday, October 7, and Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Marina Bay Sands, where the event occupies five floors, from 7:30 AM to 6 PM each day, according to the official FAQ. We had presented the tickets and program for TOKEN2049 Singapore 2026 as early as September 10: since then, prices have increased and the list of speakers has grown.

The organizer expects 25,000 participants from 7,000 companies and 160 countries, 300 speakers, 500 exhibitors, and 1,000 parallel events, according to their press release on August 6, 2026. These figures are theirs, without independent audit. The event works like a central station: the conference is the main hall, and the whole city fills with events around it, from October 5 to 11.

Singapore concentrates all the organizer’s attention this year, as summarized by its co-founder:

“With the postponement of our Dubai edition to 2027, all our attention this year is on Singapore. […] We will also unveil new tracks and new formats in the coming weeks, as we develop the institutional part of the program.”
Alex Fiskum, co-founder of TOKEN2049, press release of August 6, 2026 (Cointribune translation)

Why Does Wall Street Invite Itself to TOKEN2049?

Because major financial firms now sell crypto products, and TOKEN2049 wants to attract them. Seen as an operation, this edition aims to broaden its institutional audience, which buys the most expensive passes and booths; banks and asset managers look there for partners and clients. For them, coming to Singapore is like doing wholesale market research before composing their offer: they spot products and suppliers before offering them to their own clients.

The common thread among these profiles is tokenization: representing a financial asset, such as a fund share or bond, in the form of a token on a blockchain to trade it faster and at any time. To understand the mechanism, read our explanation of tokenization. Crypto figures remain the majority on stage: Richard Teng (Binance), Star Xu (OKX), Arjun Sethi (Kraken), the Winklevoss twins (Gemini), Charles Hoskinson (Input Output, Cardano), or Justin Sun (TRON).

Around the conference, several events complete the week: the Origins hackathon from October 6 to 8, the NEXUS startup competition on October 7 and 8, TOKEN2049 Institutional on October 8, and the After2049 party on October 9, according to the official site.
One week before the opening, two tickets remain for sale on the official ticketing platform, payable by card or cryptocurrencies. The “Last Bird” gives access to all stages, the exhibition, and the networking app; the “Special Access Pass” adds priority access, TOKEN2049 Institutional, and guaranteed entry to the After Party.

One point to know before paying: all tickets are non-refundable, including in case of visa refusal, according to the FAQ. A conference ticket works here like a concert ticket: if you don’t come, it is lost. Check your entry formalities to Singapore and your accommodation before purchase.

The kickoff is given on Wednesday, October 7 at 9 AM Singapore time, 3 AM in Paris. Two things must be followed: the new institutional part formats promised by the organizer, expected on October 8, and the speeches of asset managers like BlackRock and Franklin Templeton on tokenized funds.
