Cardano has entered an important phase after a strong recovery last week. ADA gained more than 11% over seven days and pushed toward a key resistance zone. Traders are now watching closely for the next move. Some signals support further upside. Others suggest caution. Whale activity, derivatives data, and technical indicators paint a mixed picture. That uncertainty has left investors asking whether ADA is building toward a breakout or preparing for another pullback.

ADA Faces a Crucial Resistance Test

ADA traded near $0.2537 on September 28 after last week's rally. Buyers have repeatedly challenged the $0.26 resistance area. So far, that level has held firm. The market tested this barrier several times recently. On September 23, ADA approached $0.26 before sellers stepped in. The price then slipped below $0.24 the following day. Many traders now view $0.26 as a key trigger point. A successful breakout could open a path toward $0.27.

Strong momentum could then push the price closer to $0.30. The downside remains important as well. ADA must hold above $0.25 to maintain short-term strength. A breakdown below that level could expose support near $0.20. Buyers last defended that area during September. Whale activity has added another layer of interest. Large orders continue appearing in futures markets.

However, market data also shows stronger sell-side pressure. That combination suggests major players remain active while direction stays uncertain. Derivatives traders appear divided. Cardano's long-to-short ratio stood at 0.63 on Monday. Such a reading typically reflects bearish positioning. Meanwhile, funding rates remain positive. Long traders continue paying shorts, a sign of bullish expectations.

Technical Indicators Still Lean Bullish

Trading activity across Cardano's ecosystem has increased significantly. Decentralized exchange volume jumped nearly 3,000% during the past week. Monthly DEX trading volume reached more than $248 million. Still, daily turnover remained relatively modest. That suggests activity arrived in bursts rather than steady demand. Previous cycles have produced similar volume spikes.

Technical indicators provide some encouragement for bulls. ADA continues trading above the 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day exponential moving averages. Those levels often serve as important support during uptrends. The four-hour RSI sits above 55, showing moderate buying pressure. At the same time, momentum appears to be slowing. The MACD indicator shows weakening strength following last week's rally.

Analyst Jesse Olson believes the larger trend remains constructive. According to his assessment, daily and weekly charts already support a bullish outlook. A confirmation on the two-week chart could strengthen that case even further. For now, ADA stands at a critical point. Strong support remains beneath current prices. Resistance near $0.26 continues blocking further gains. If buyers break through, Cardano could quickly attract fresh momentum and move toward higher targets.
