A Quiet Stabilisation for Terra Luna Classic

Terra Luna Classic ($LUNC) is showing signs of a modest correction, yet the broader picture is more encouraging than the recent price action might suggest. The token reached an all-time high of $119.18 and is now trading 100% below that peak, a sobering reminder of the scale of the 2022 Terra collapse. Despite that, according to CoinGecko data cited by @BSCNews, the asset is down just 2% over the past year, a figure that stands out given how volatile the token has historically been. Adding to the cautious optimism, $LUNC has gained over 7% across the past 14 days, offering the community a degree of short-term relief.

LUNC tokens can be traded on centralised exchanges, with Binance being the most popular venue where the LUNC/USDT pair recorded a 24-hour trading volume of over $2.1 million.Overall 24-hour trading volume for Terra Luna Classic reached $12.1 million, a 7.70% increase from the prior day, signalling a recent uptick in market activity.

Binance Burns Edge Toward a Major Milestone

Beyond price, the story that continues to capture community attention is Binance's long-running burn programme. Binance has maintained a sustained commitment to the Terra Classic ecosystem, executing monthly buyback-and-burn events as part of its standing programme.Cumulative direct burns from Binance now stand at approximately 87.37 billion LUNC, with total contributions exceeding 88 billion, making the exchange by far the largest single contributor, accounting for roughly 19.5% of all burned tokens tracked by LUNC Metrics.

Binance has supported the Terra Classic community since the 2022 collapse through voluntary burns, initially destroying 100% of relevant trading fees before adjusting to 50% in late 2022, while maintaining consistent monthly executions. With the cumulative total closing in on 90 billion tokens burned, the community is eyeing that figure as a symbolic milestone. While the cumulative impact has removed tens of billions of tokens over the years, LUNC's total supply remains in the trillions, meaning significant further reductions are still needed for meaningful scarcity effects.

For now, $LUNC sits in an unusual position: battered in absolute terms but showing relative resilience, with the Binance burn programme providing a steady deflationary backdrop that keeps the community engaged.
