Under the agreement, Cardano Academy content will be built directly into UCLA's blockchain course curriculum starting in 2027. The integration is designed to give students structured, research-grounded exposure to <a href="https://x.com/Cardano" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">@Cardano</a>'s protocol and real-world enterprise applications. The Cardano Academy has previously expanded its reach through enterprise-focused programs, including an AI and Blockchain for Business Leaders course.
The partnership is not purely academic. The Venture Accelerator at UCLA Anderson supports standout startups across the UCLA entrepreneurial ecosystem , and the Cardano tie-up adds a dedicated blockchain track to that framework.
<h2 id="fellowships-a-masterclass-and-a-sponsored-certificate">Fellowships, a Masterclass, and a Sponsored Certificate</h2>
The collaboration kicks off on October 19 with a masterclass focused on enterprise Web3 and AI agents. Attendees will leave with a sponsored certificate, giving the event a tangible credential component from day one.
Beyond the classroom, five early-stage startups at UCLA will receive Cardano Fellowships covering funding, mentorship, and the opportunity to build directly on <a href="https://x.com/Cardano" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">@Cardano</a>. The fellowship structure mirrors the foundation's existing accelerator model. The Cardano Accelerator Program combines tailored coaching, technical guidance, business workshops, and strategy sessions led by the Cardano Foundation and its network of industry collaborators.
The UCLA deal is the latest in a series of institutional moves by the foundation. The Cardano Foundation recently launched a multi-year partnership with SENAI São Paulo bringing blockchain education and industrial applications to Brazilian industry. The Los Angeles announcement extends that push into the United States, targeting one of the country's most active startup ecosystems.
