Bitget is reopening withdrawals on a per-asset basis following a security incident, with the exchange saying Bitcoin withdrawals are already live and Ethereum withdrawals scheduled for September 29, according to Bitget's official support update.

BTC Withdrawals Are Live, Bitget Says

Bitget has confirmed that Bitcoin (BTC) withdrawals are open, making it the first major asset to resume under the exchange's staggered restart plan. The exchange is communicating availability on an asset-by-asset basis rather than issuing a single all-clear for all tokens simultaneously. For related coverage, see Bitget Launches 470 Tokenized Stocks, Including 200+ ETFs.

CryptoSlate reported that the BTC withdrawal resumption followed the identification and remediation of the hack vulnerability that prompted the withdrawal pause. Reopening Bitcoin first, before stablecoins or other assets, reflects a sequenced approach to restoring services.

ETH Withdrawals Scheduled for September 29

Ethereum (ETH) withdrawals carry a scheduled date of September 29, according to the exchange's communications. A scheduled date is not the same as a confirmed live status; users should verify current availability directly on Bitget before attempting an ETH withdrawal. For related coverage, see Bitget Adopts Official Nasdaq Market Data.

The staggered timeline mirrors how exchanges typically restore services after a security event, prioritizing higher-liquidity or more technically straightforward assets first. Investigators had already begun tracing funds, with AMLBot tracing 4 BTC from the Bitget hack to a Wasabi CoinJoin mixer, suggesting the security review remains active.
USDT Status and What Asset-by-Asset Means for Users

The exchange's public communications also referenced USDT (Tether), but the available information does not confirm a specific reopening date or current status for the stablecoin. Users should not infer USDT availability from the BTC or ETH timelines.

The asset-by-asset framing means each token has its own reopening schedule, and a status update for one asset carries no implication for another. Bitget's security update page is the authoritative source for the most current withdrawal status on each individual asset. Checking that page before initiating any withdrawal remains the safest approach until a full-platform resumption is announced.
