LayerZero rolled out a new LayerZero chain support update on September 26, 2026. The project is scaling back services for a group of blockchains with low activity. Once the change takes effect, LayerZero DVN and Executor tools will stop functioning on these systems.
The shift also touches some Stargate Hydra assets tied to them. The team first flagged this plan in a blog post dated July 24, 2026. It revised the list in August and again in September.

All of them share the same deadline: September 30, 2026. The table below shows each one and whether Stargate v2 access ends too.

Aurora, Taiko, LightLink, and Gnosis lose both services on the same date. Wallets tied to those four need the most urgent attention. The remaining nine keep Stargate access for now, though their off-chain messaging tools still stop working.

What This Move Means For Users

DVN stands for Decentralized Verifier Network, a tool that confirms cross-chain messages alongside the Executor. Once these tools stop running on a given system, apps that rely on them may stop passing messages correctly.
Wallets, bridges, and other tools sit on top of these networks. They could see failed transactions or delays if users wait too long.
Anyone holding Stargate Hydra assets such as USDC.e, wETH, or Hydra USDT on the listed systems should plan ahead. This LayerZero chain support update gives holders a short window before deeper access issues could appear.

Redemption Steps For Affected Users

The official notice lays out clear steps for anyone holding funds on these platforms:

Move Stargate Hydra assets to an ecosystem that keeps ongoing support

Pull liquidity from Stargate pools where a withdrawal note applies

Send funds toward busier destinations, such as Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, or BSC

Confirm the exact date for each platform on the official page

Keep a record of transaction hashes in case support requests come up later

Acting before the deadline avoids the risk of funds becoming harder to reach later.

Why LayerZero Is Trimming Its List

The company said the named systems show minimal activity compared with its larger deployments. Its team prefers to direct DVN and Executor resources toward busier ecosystems. It avoids spreading resources thin across dozens of smaller ones.
This LayerZero chain support update shows up often in crypto news today. Infrastructure firms narrow their focus to cut costs and raise reliability elsewhere. Smaller networks with fewer daily transactions often cost more to maintain than the fees they generate.

Expert Take

This LayerZero chain support update fits a wider pattern seen across multi-network infrastructure firms. Projects that connect many blockchains tend to revisit their lists on a set schedule and drop ones with weak usage.
The approach frees up engineering resources for busier destinations and can improve reliability for the ecosystems that remain. Holders should treat any bridging deadline as fixed. Waiting for a final notice is risky, since congestion tends to build in the last few days before a cutoff.

Conclusion

This LayerZero chain support update confirms 13 blockchains will lose DVN and Executor access by September 30, 2026. Four of them also lose Stargate v2 support.
Holders on these platforms should move Stargate Hydra assets ahead of the deadline. The official blog remains the source to check. The list has changed twice already and could shift again before the final date.
