In the latest Bitget delisting news, the exchange confirmed it will remove the DOG/USDT spot pair on September 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM UTC.
This delisting news first appeared on Bitget's own support page on September 25, only hours after the exchange disclosed a hot-wallet breach worth roughly $351 million.
$DOG founder Leonidas quickly objected on X, arguing that a delisting announcement landing during an active withdrawal freeze was unfair to holders who could not yet move funds normally.

According toBitget's official notice, the exchange is removing four pairs together, not alone:

The Bitget delisting reason cited is a routine periodic review covering trading volume, liquidity, team involvement, project development, and community activity standard language Bitget uses across its notices, with no mention of the hack anywhere in the text.
This DOG crypto delisting sits alongside FHE, DRIFT, and RVV removals, all effective the same day.

This Bitget exchange hack 2026 disclosure and the delisting notice are now discussed together across crypto communities, even though Bitget's own notice never connects the two events.

Leonidas Bitget DOG Objection

In apublic letter on X, Leonidas said the delisting news, frozen withdrawals, and trust concerns combined to push Bitget price data visibly away from other exchanges.
His founder Bitget statement called the move "highly abnormal," citing over $1 billion in DOG volume generated on Bitget and a token value above $100 million.
He asked Bitget to reverse the decision and preserve spot trading.

The $DOG token Bitget relationship now depends on how the exchange responds. In related $DOG token Bitget withdrawal news, users can still withdraw $DOG until December 30, 2026, even after spot trading ends.
Tracking token price movement on Bitget against other venues will show whether the deviation Leonidas described continues.
Separately, in Bitget spot trading news, the same notice removes bot and copy-trading support for these pairs.
The Bitget $351 million hack and $DOG delisting combination, wrapped into this Bitget $DOG USDT delisting September 2026 notice, is one of the more closely watched crypto news today stories this week.
Whether Bitget reverses course, as it has occasionally done for past delistings, remains the open question for the wider crypto news cycle.

Conclusion

Bitget's delisting news frames the removal as routine, while Leonidas keeps pushing for a reversal over its timing right after the hack. Whether Bitget changes course before September 30 remains the key thing to watch.
