Litecoin has spent most of the year in the shadow of bigger altcoins, but its latest move is forcing traders to look again.&nbsp;
Momentum has turned, derivatives players are piling in, and the coin has just pushed out of a rising pattern it had been building since mid-August.&nbsp;
The <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/price-prediction/litecoin-price-prediction-ltc-hit-new-all-time-high" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Litecoin price prediction</a> question now is whether this breakout can hold or whether the market is running ahead of itself.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-what-does-the-litecoin-ltc-price-look-like-today-span-span">What Does the Litecoin (LTC) Price Look Like Today?</h2>
Coinglass puts the $Litecoin (LTC) price today at $67.77, up 6.14% in 24 hours, with a market capitalization of $5.29B and spot volume of $231.73M.<img alt="Litecoin price prediction, LTC price prediction, Litecoin LTC price today" src="https://d3iuzwoiyg9qa8.cloudfront.net/webadmin/storage/public/commonEditerImage/6URIzhFkBkUtK58NkUXK6I1a7fOv4yYqWMlYcIGo.jpg" width="300" title="Litecoin price prediction, LTC price prediction, Litecoin LTC price today">
Circulating supply is 77.64M coins against a total supply of 84.00M, so circulating supply already covers most of what will ever exist.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-how-far-has-litecoin-rallied-and-who-is-getting-squeezed-span-span">How Far Has Litecoin Rallied, and Who Is Getting Squeezed?</h3>
<a href="https://www.coinglass.com/currencies/LTC" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">CoinGlass performance</a> data shows token&nbsp;up 9.69% over four hours, 31.07% over seven days, and 65.81% over 90 days. The wider picture is mixed, with the coin down 11.77% year to date.<img alt="Litecoin long short ratio, Litecoin liquidations, Litecoin circulating supply" src="https://d3iuzwoiyg9qa8.cloudfront.net/webadmin/storage/public/commonEditerImage/Rpt3qcOdJFmnnJvbHA2mqK1UJ4QZ42EPbuitR4BH.jpg" width="300" title="Litecoin long short ratio, Litecoin liquidations, Litecoin circulating supply">
Why is Litecoin price up today? Short sellers have taken most of the recent pain. Of the $1.30M liquidated in the last four hours, $1.16M came from shorts, although across a full 24 hours, longs account for $1.82M of the $3.08M total, so both sides have been hit.&nbsp;
The Binance LTC/USDT long-short ratio reads 2.57, OKX shows 1.68, and top traders on Binance sit at 3.03 by accounts and 3.13 by positions.&nbsp;
Bulls clearly dominate, which is supportive, but crowded trader positioning can turn against a market quickly.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-is-rising-open-interest-backing-the-span-ltc-span-breakout-span-span">Is Rising Open Interest Backing the $LTC&nbsp;Breakout?</h3>
Coinglass shows open interest at $605.82M, up from $536.90M on the chart reading at 05:30 on 24 September when the price was $61.80.<img alt="Litecoin open interest, Litecoin long short ratio, Litecoin liquidations" src="https://d3iuzwoiyg9qa8.cloudfront.net/webadmin/storage/public/commonEditerImage/ikJgTF2cflocLeIZMv6z3Q5Lq9VLQFtsPsiB0kdR.jpg" width="300" title="Litecoin open interest, Litecoin long short ratio, Litecoin liquidations">
Through the summer the figure hovered between roughly $280M and $350M, so the jump is large, though it remains below the mid-January high near $680M.&nbsp;
Futures trading volume of $1.19B is about five times spot volume, a sign that leverage is steering much of this move.

Per <a href="https://in.tradingview.com/chart/HJnaLdX9/?symbol=BITSTAMP%3ABTCUSD" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">TradingView data</a> on the Coinbase LTC/USD pair, the $LTC&nbsp;daily chart analysis starts with a long base, as the coin drifted through the $40s from June to mid-August before turning higher inside a rising channel.<img alt="Litecoin daily chart analysis, Litecoin ascending channel breakout, Litecoin" src="https://d3iuzwoiyg9qa8.cloudfront.net/webadmin/storage/public/commonEditerImage/d5n8lDgCqNrqksZCFLAkpuJFRVQZgX8mDraP0A7w.png" width="300" title="Litecoin daily chart analysis, Litecoin ascending channel breakout, Litecoin">
Buyers respected that channel for several weeks before a run of strong daily candles carried the price through its upper line to $67.96.&nbsp;
The LTC&nbsp;ascending channel breakout is the key development on the chart.
The main <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/price-prediction/litecoin-price-prediction-september-2026-outlook" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Litecoin support and resistance</a> levels are now clear. The channel's upper line and $60.609 form support, and holding that zone keeps buyers in control, while a daily close back inside the channel would weaken the breakout.&nbsp;
Resistance begins at $73.878, followed by $86.243, $92.416, $100.153, and $110.067. If $60.609 fails, support waits at $51.017 and then $42.515.

For the Litecoin price prediction next week, three paths stand out, each tied to the daily levels.

Which Risks Could Stall the LTC Rally?
After a 31% weekly gain, a pullback toward the channel would be normal. Open interest and futures volume show heavy leverage, and long-heavy ratios leave room for a flush.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-is-the-span-ltc-span-breakout-sustainable-analyst-desk-view-span-span">Is the LTC&nbsp;Breakout Sustainable? Analyst Desk View</h2>
Is LTC&nbsp;bullish or bearish here? According to the<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/price-prediction" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> CoinGabbar analyst</a> desk, the trend is bullish since the breakout has support from price, positioning, and volume, but the speed of the rise argues against chasing it.&nbsp;
A hold above $60.609 would keep the higher resistance levels in play, while a slip back inside the channel would shift focus to $51.017.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-conclusion-span-span">Conclusion</h3>
The Litecoin price prediction now depends on whether buyers defend the channel line and $60.609.&nbsp;
Acceptance above $73.878 opens the higher resistance ladder, while a loss of support turns the breakout into a possible false start.
