THORWallet

THORWallet has partnered with NEAR Intents to bring confidential cross-chain swaps to its users.
Users can now enable private swaps on supported routes with a simple toggle on the swap preview screen. It costs a little more than a standard swap, but adds privacy by making the link between sent and received funds harder to trace on-chain.
If a user selects the Privacy route for a BTC-to-ETH swap, the source and destination transactions will still be visible on their respective native-chain explorers. However, these transactions typically appear as standard send or receive transactions and do not expose the full swap execution details.
Unlike regular NEAR Intents swaps, which can be tracked through public NEAR Intents explorers and indexers, confidential swaps shield the execution details from public view. This makes it harder for outside observers to connect the source-chain deposit with the destination-chain withdrawal.
Alongside THORWallet’s existing features, this addition reduces the need for users to switch between services for different DeFi activities.
THORWallet has described its ambition to build a neobank offering a “Robinhood of DeFi” experience. The private-swap feature adds to the functionality available within the app. Private swaps are one part of a broader set of features being developed at THORWallet, as the team continues to focus on making DeFi more accessible and useful for everyday users.

About THORWallet

THORWallet is a Swiss-based non-custodial DeFi wallet that provides access to on-chain finance tools through a mobile-first application.
The platform combines self-custody, cross-chain swaps, DeFi access, stablecoin rails, and card-based spending in one mobile-first application. THORWallet allows users to swap native assets across multiple blockchains without relying on wrapped assets, centralized exchanges, or traditional bridge infrastructure.
Since launching, THORWallet has positioned itself as a mobile gateway for cross-chain DeFi, giving users access to protocols such as THORChain, Maya Protocol, and other decentralized liquidity networks. The app also offers real-world finance features, including Swiss IBAN account access, crypto card functionality, and DeFi yield opportunities.
THORWallet’s long-term vision is to become a self-custodial on-chain finance platform where users can hold, swap, earn, and spend digital assets globally while remaining in control of their funds.

About NEAR Intents

NEAR Intents is a protocol developed within the NEAR ecosystem to enable intent-based transactions across multiple blockchains. By allowing users or agents to declare what they want to achieve — for example, swapping token A on chain X for token B on chain Y — instead of managing each step manually, NEAR Intents is designed to simplify cross-chain transactions and route them across multiple networks.
