Bloomberg News reported on Friday, September 18, that both the platforms have ended their tie-up. Wu Blockchain, citing Bloomberg, says the pair first teamed up in November 2025. The prediction market supplied probability data on economic, government and market events. The platform showed that data in a dedicated section on its website.

That section went offline in April. Now the whole agreement is over. Polymarket declined to comment.
Yahoo did share a short statement. A spokesperson told Bloomberg the specific deal ended. But it still runs ads across the platform and stays open to similar partnerships. It gave no reason for the split.

What Actually Happened Between Both the Platforms?

Go back to November 2025, both entered an exclusive prediction market partnership. The plan was a hub showing probability data on key economic, government and market outcomes. Yahoo Finance and its partners would add news, quotes and analysis next to those numbers.

Polymarket pitched it to investors. Its social media post said trusted data plus in-depth analysis would help them make smarter, more strategic prediction investments.
Here's how the story moved:

November 2025: Announce the deal.

January:The platform agrees to feed its prediction data to News Corp.'s Dow Jones, parent of the Wall Street Journal.

April:Yahoo takes the hub offline.

September 18:Bloomberg reports the agreement has ended.

So if you check crypto news today, you won't find the old Polymarket hub. Yahoo wasn't alone. Several media companies cut deals with prediction platforms to use their forecasts in broadcasts, websites and print.

What Does This Mean for the Crypto Market?

Does the split hit the crypto market directly? No. Polymarket news today doesn't touch Bitcoin or Ethereum code or supply. But prediction market hosts a large crypto betting community. A major break-up can shift how that crowd feels.
The numbers show the reach. It lists around 320 crypto bets, on top of major events that move crypto directly. It also offers 358 finance market bets. Both groups could feel the change in mood.
That's why the partnership ending matters beyond media circles.

What Next for the Prediction Market?

The prediction market sits in the Blockchain and Crypto sector. Its industry tags include Cryptocurrency, Financial Services, Prediction Markets and Predictive Analytics. Yahoo Finance data puts its estimated valuation at $13.58 billion.
What could help next? An upcoming partnership and a crypto token launch could both support growth. Neither has a confirmed date yet. Even with the partnership over, the two firms still share an ad relationship.

Conclusion

The Polymarket Yahoo Finance partnership is over, but the ad link and the door for future deals remain. The direct crypto market impact looks small so far. Watch community sentiment, any new media partnership and token launch details for the next clues.
