Shareholders face an annual management fee of 1.10% based on total TRX holdings.</p><p>BitGo Bank &amp; Trust provides custody services for the fund’s cryptocurrency holdings. By early August, TRON’s cumulative transaction count since network genesis surpassed 15 billion.</p><h3 id="expanding-digital-asset-etf-ecosystem">Expanding Digital Asset ETF Ecosystem</h3><blockquote><p>Steven McClurg, CEO of Canary Capital, emphasized that institutional interest increasingly focuses on underlying blockchain infrastructure rather than tokens alone. “TRON has become a critical piece of the infrastructure powering digital asset payments and settlement,” McClurg explained.</p></blockquote><p>Canary Capital initially submitted the fund’s Form S-1 documentation in April 2025. Subsequent amendments incorporated specific details regarding the trading symbol, listing venue, custodial arrangements, and staking methodology.</p><p>The TRXS structure distinguishes itself from competing altcoin ETF approaches. Both VanEck and Grayscale excluded staking mechanisms from their proposed BNB ETF frameworks, whereas Canary integrated staking functionality as a core component of TRXS.</p><p>Bitwise submitted its own SEC registration in December 2025 for a TRX-based ETF, proposing an alternative architecture permitting up to 60% direct cryptocurrency allocation, with remaining assets in associated instruments or derivative contracts.</p><p>At the time of TRXS launch, TRX maintained a $32.1 billion market capitalization, securing the eighth position among all digital currencies.
