Crypto analyst Digital Asset Investor (@digitalassetbuy) sees something much bigger taking shape beneath recent market developments, and XRP sits at the center of his argument. Gold is gaining serious institutional attention as central banks reposition their reserves worldwide.
The conditions he has spent years predicting are beginning to align. His latest analysis is a case for an XRP super cycle timed to coincide with a major run in commodities.

A New Kind of Commodity Cycle

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse recently highlighted a striking example of how outdated financial infrastructure remains. The Central Bank of the Netherlands spent months relocating $11 billion in gold between New York and London. 70% of it never physically moved. Germany took four years to repatriate 674 tons of gold worth $36 billion from vaults in Paris and New York.
Garlinghouse noted that in the decade-plus between those two events, crypto grew from a $1.5 billion experiment into a $2.7 trillion asset class. His conclusion was clear. The XRP Ledger already checks every box the BIS requires for testing: low fees, fast settlement, and a proven track record.
Digital Asset Investor connects this directly to a commodity super cycle now forming around gold. He argues that XRP is not just adjacent to this cycle. It is part of it. XRP has already received a commodity designation, and Digital Asset Investor believes it is “almost like they’ve timed all this for the perfect moment.”

Gold on the XRP Ledger

Digital Asset Investor made a specific prediction, stating, “There will be an RLGLD. Write it down.” He believes tokenizing gold on the XRP Ledger solves the longstanding transportability problem, making it provable and transferable in seconds. He argues this increases gold’s value while simultaneously driving demand for the ledger it sits on.

The Super Cycle Thesis

A commodity analyst featured in the video stated that gold remains “a real hard asset.” He says people will seek hard assets when economic conditions deteriorate, regardless of interest rate movements. Digital Asset Investor extends this directly to XRP.

Only 100 billion XRP exist, supply burns with every transaction, and 90% of the world’s population remains outside crypto entirely. He sees the $5 million partnership between Ripple and the Florida Gators as confirmation that mass marketing has begun.

Regulatory Timing Adds Pressure

The Clarity Act sits at roughly 50/50 odds of passing before January 2028. Digital Asset Investor argues that either outcome accelerates adoption. Passage brings legal clarity, and failure pushes regulators to embed crypto into the financial system before any future administration can reverse course.
