<p>Bitmine Immersion Technologies has extended its Ethereum (ETH) buying streak to 65 consecutive weeks, adding 53,501 ETH in the week ending Aug. 30.</p><p>The latest <a href="https://www.prnewswire.com/apac/news-releases/bitmine-immersion-technologies-bmnr-announces-eth-holdings-reach-5-90-million-tokens-and-total-crypto-and-total-cash-holdings-of-15-6-billion-302864697.html" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">purchase </a>brought the company's total holdings to 5,901,112 <a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum/" rel="noopener noreferrer">ETH</a>, valued at approximately $14.8 billion based on an ETH price of $2,511 as of Aug. 31. Bitmine now holds 4.9% of Ethereum's 120.7 million circulating supply, making it the largest corporate holder of the cryptocurrency by total holdings.</p><p>The company has maintained its accumulation strategy through a prolonged market downturn that began in Q4 2025. That sustained buying has left Bitmine sitting on roughly $5.1 billion in unrealized losses on its ETH holdings, <a href="https://dropstab.com/p/bitmine-ethereum-treasury-lipdgyz9ho" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">according </a>to DropsTab data. The paper losses reflect the average cost basis accumulated during the downturn, when ETH prices were significantly higher than current levels.</p><h2 id="86-of-holdings-staked-generating-335m-in-projected-annual-revenue">86% of Holdings Staked, Generating $335M in Projected Annual Revenue</h2><p>Of Bitmine's 5.9 million ETH, 5,067,309 ETH valued at approximately $12.7 billion are<a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/academy/glossary/staking" rel="noopener noreferrer"> staked</a> through the company's MAVAN platform and staking partners. That represents 86% of its total ETH balance. Based on a seven-day annualized yield of 2.63%, Bitmine projected annualized staking revenues of $335 million. The staking infrastructure gives the company a yield-generating mechanism on its holdings that offsets part of the cost of accumulation.</p><p>Beyond ETH, Bitmine reported 211 Bitcoin (<a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/" rel="noopener noreferrer">BTC</a>), an $180 million stake in Beast Industries, an $81 million stake in Eightco Holdings, and total cash and marketable securities of $541 million. Combined crypto, cash, and other assets totaled $15.6 billion as of Aug. 30.</p><h2 id="tom-lee-says-eth-is-the-best-performing-macro-asset-in-q3">Tom Lee Says ETH Is the Best-Performing Macro Asset in Q3</h2><p>Chairman Tom Lee said Ethereum has been the best-performing major asset since June 30, 2026, outperforming the S&amp;P 500 by 5,430 basis points through Aug. 28. "The top three performing assets since June 30 are ETH, BTC and Solana (SOL)," Lee said in a statement. The company said it remains on course toward its stated goal of owning 5% of Ethereum's circulating supply, with the gap now narrowing to approximately 0.1 percentage point from the current level.</p>
