As of now, less than 48 hours remain for decentralized representatives (DReps) and stake pool operators (SPOs) to cast their votes.</p><p style="text-align: justify">Intersect shared that DReps are close to meeting the required 67% voting threshold, currently standing at 66.3%. In contrast, SPOs have achieved 39% voter participation, falling short of the 51% needed for the proposal to pass. The organization emphasized the urgency for additional votes, particularly from SPOs, ahead of the impending deadline.</p><blockquote><p>Intersect highlighted that if this governance action is not approved by September 1, the committee will shrink below its minimum of five members, preventing the ratification of essential processes such as treasury withdrawals, parameter updates, constitution revisions, and hard fork initiations.</p></blockquote><p style="text-align: justify">Failure to pass the Update CC 2026 action would result in the expiration of terms for existing committee members.
