Binance is cutting seven spot trading pairs from its platform, with trading set to cease on August 21 at 03:00 UTC. The move, announced by the exchange as part of its latest market review, affects pairs involving major cryptocurrencies Litecoin ($LTC) and Sui ($SUI), with trading for all affected pairs ending on August 21 at 03:00 UTC.
The full list of pairs scheduled for removal is F/USDC, HIVE/USDC, ILV/USDC, LTC/BNB, NMR/USDC, STEEM/USDC and SUI/BNB. The LTC/BNB and SUI/BNB pairs are the most notable casualties, given the market cap and trading activity associated with both assets.
Binance regularly reviews its listed spot trading pairs and removes selected markets based on various considerations, saying these periodic assessments are intended to protect users and maintain a high-quality trading environment. The exchange evaluates factors including liquidity and trading volume when making such decisions.

Tokens Remain Listed, Only Specific Pairs Affected

The delisting does not mean that $LTC, $SUI or the other affected cryptocurrencies will be removed entirely from Binance Spot. Users can continue trading the base and quote assets through other available trading pairs on the platform.
For instance, LTC and SUI remain listed against other base assets, while HIVE, ILV, NMR, STEEM and F are still tradable against other stablecoins or fiat pairs. Traders using automated strategies or bots tied to the affected pairs should update their configurations before the cutoff.
The spot market changes come alongside further housekeeping on the margin side, with Binance Margin also set to delist AUCTION/USDC, BEAMX/USDC, CETUS/USDC, HUMA/USDC, LAYER/USDC, NXPC/USDC, UMA/USDC and VELODROME/USDC from cross margin on August 21 at 06:00 UTC.
For traders holding open positions in any of the affected spot pairs, Binance advises closing those positions before the August 21 deadline to avoid disruption.
