Binance has added GLMR, ICX, MOVR, RARE and SOPH to its Monitoring Tag, a warning label the exchange applies to listed assets it considers higher risk, a status change that raises questions about possible delisting for the five tokens.
The Monitoring Tag is a caution flag rather than a removal notice. Binance applies it to tokens that show elevated volatility, weaker liquidity, or other characteristics that place them under closer review, according to the exchange's support announcement documentation. The five affected tokens are Moonbeam (GLMR), ICON (ICX), Moonriver (MOVR), SuperRare (RARE) and Sophon (SOPH). Being placed under the tag signals higher scrutiny; it does not, on its own, confirm that any of these tokens will be delisted.
The announcement: Binance added GLMR, ICX, MOVR, RARE and SOPH to its Monitoring Tag.

The implication: Traders and holders should treat the label as an early warning and watch for follow-up notices.

Why a Monitoring Tag Can Raise Delisting Concerns

Monitoring labels are typically read as a sign that an asset faces heightened exchange review. That perception can shift trader sentiment and expectations around liquidity even before any formal decision is made. A monitoring status and an official delisting notice are distinct steps. The tag flags increased uncertainty, while a delisting is a separate action confirmed through its own announcement. Binance recently moved to delist six tokens on Aug. 17, a reminder that review outcomes can escalate.
Reporting on the update noted that Binance periodically adjusts which assets carry the tag as part of its listing reviews, according to Traders Union. The specific reasons Binance may hold for each of the five tokens were not detailed in the announcement.

A warning-style label can increase short-term volatility and caution among market participants. Sentiment shifts often follow a tag change before any concrete listing decision is reached.
The clearest signal going forward is Binance's own follow-up communication. Subsequent notices will show whether the monitoring status stays in place, is lifted, or escalates toward removal for any of the affected tokens.
Holders typically track liquidity conditions and official platform communications after a status change of this kind. Binance's listing and compliance posture has drawn scrutiny elsewhere, including as it regained website access in the Philippines through a regulatory sandbox.
