TAO was trading around $205 at the time of writing after reaching $210 earlier in the session. Today’s close will show whether the latest move can hold after weeks of resistance from the 50-day average.

Key Takeaways

TAO’s first task is keeping the 50-day SMA underneath price.

A clean $206 reclaim would improve the path toward $225.

Enterprise testing offers the strongest fundamental support for the rebound.

Grayscale improves institutional visibility but does not prove persistent demand.

Testing the 50-Day SMA

TAO had remained below its 50-day SMA since mid-June before finally closing back above the average yesterday.

The moving average currently sits near $203 and is now being tested as potential support. Just above it, the 0.786 Fibonacci retracement close to $206 remains the immediate resistance.

TAO traded through that Fibonacci level intraday but had fallen back below it at the time of writing.

That leaves price between two closely spaced levels with different roles: the 50-day SMA needs to hold underneath price, while $206 still needs to be reclaimed.

A close above $206 followed by price holding the area on a pullback would make the roughly $203-$206 band much more convincing as support.

The next important Fibonacci level sits at the 0.618 retracement near $225.

Beyond that, TAO would face another difficult area around $232-$233, where the 100-day SMA near $232 and the 200-day SMA around $233 are clustered.

Daily RSI has also improved to roughly 57, above neutral but still well below overbought territory.

Enterprise Pilots Add Fundamental Weight

Recent developments inside the Bittensor ecosystem give the recovery a fundamental angle beyond the chart.

The OpenTensor Foundation said five additional enterprise platforms with more than $22 billion in combined value are testing technology developed by Bittensor’s RedTeam subnet.

Recently, 5 more enterprise platforms worth $22B+ combined have been testing @_redteam_’s technology. They reach 900M+ accounts and handle 1B+ weekly transactions.

RedTeam is set to unveil a new immune system built to anticipate cyber threats.

Here’s how Bittensor powers it: pic.twitter.com/9xUVIYGFQ4

— Openτensor Foundaτion (@opentensor) August 8, 2026

OpenTensor said those platforms collectively reach more than 900 million accounts and process more than one billion transactions per week.

The important point is not the size of the companies alone. The pilots show that businesses are evaluating technology developed inside the Bittensor ecosystem against real workloads.

That is more meaningful for the network than a short burst of social attention, although the evidence is still preliminary. Testing is not the same as production deployment and does not automatically create sustained demand for TAO.

The development becomes more relevant if those pilots progress into production use and generate measurable economic activity inside the Bittensor ecosystem.

For now, the pilots strengthen the case that Bittensor’s subnet model is attracting interest outside crypto-native trading.

Grayscale’s Institutional Footprint

TAO also remains a major component of Grayscale’s decentralized-AI exposure.

According to Grayscale’s latest multi-asset fund rebalance, TAO represented 29.15% of the Grayscale Decentralized AI Fund as of August 3, making it the fund’s second-largest holding.

The rebalance involved reducing the fund’s NEAR position and reallocating proceeds across existing components, including TAO.

That reinforces TAO’s position as one of the main assets through which Grayscale provides exposure to decentralized AI.

It does not establish that Grayscale buying caused the latest rally. Without comparing the size of those purchases with TAO’s broader trading volume, the price impact cannot be isolated with confidence.

The stronger takeaway is institutional visibility. TAO remains heavily represented in a product built specifically around crypto exposure to artificial intelligence, which can support the broader investment narrative even if the rebalance itself was a one-off event.

Downside Risk Below $203

The downside case begins with the 50-day SMA near $203.

A daily close back below the moving average would weaken the breakout after TAO spent almost two months underneath it.

The first area to watch would then sit around $195, where price consolidated repeatedly before the latest move higher.

Below $195, the next important zone sits around $183-$187, where selling stalled during both the June decline and the late-July selloff. The Fibonacci structure itself is anchored near $183.

A break below that area would put TAO beneath the lows that have contained the correction since June.
