Cardano price has returned to a question that once seemed much easier to answer. Can ADA recover from around $0.20 and eventually break its former record? Cardano has survived a deep decline, weak network activity, and growing competition. More Crypto Online believes the possibility remains open, although ADA must clear several important tests before a new all time high becomes realistic.

Cardano reached its record price of $3.10 on September 2, 2021. Excitement surrounding the Alonzo upgrade drove that rally because the update brought smart contract capabilities to the blockchain. ADA briefly became the third largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization during that period.

Cardano Price Has Struggled Since Its Historic 2021 Rally

ADA has dropped from about $3 to around $0.20 since its record rally. Cardano price recovered from its 2023 bottom and briefly reached about $1.30 during 2024. However, that rebound failed to develop into a complete recovery.

Several ecosystem problems have made another Cardano rally more difficult:

Cardano records much lower blockchain activity than Ethereum and Solana.

DeFi participation and stablecoin supply remain relatively small.

Cardano missed much of the growth across real world asset tokenization.

Treasury disputes contributed to the cancellation of the 2026 Cardano Summit.

TapTools and other important ecosystem platforms ended their operations.

Weak network usage has produced limited transaction fee revenue and reduced demand for ADA across decentralized applications. Critics have consequently called Cardano a “ghost chain” because its valuation remains large compared with its activity.

Community disagreements have also weakened confidence. Charles Hoskinson temporarily stepped away from public communication after warning about a possible wave of ecosystem failures. His announcement created more uncertainty during an already difficult period for ADA price.

Broader altcoin weakness has made matters worse. ADA commonly records deeper losses than Bitcoin when investors reduce their exposure to risk assets. Cardano has also missed the institutional and ETF demand that supported Bitcoin and Ethereum.

More Crypto Online Believes Another ADA Decline Remains Possible

More Crypto Online explained that ADA could be completing a large wave 2 correction under Elliott Wave analysis. Another interpretation views the 2021 rally as an A wave and the current decline as a B wave. Both structures technically leave room for Cardano price to move above its former record.

The channel warned that ADA may not have reached its final bottom. Its current recovery could represent a wave 4 bounce before a fifth downward wave begins. That final decline could take Cardano price toward $0.09.

The main downside levels from the analysis include:

Support between $0.18 and $0.195 keeps the current bounce alive.

Resistance between $0.22 and $0.247 could limit the short term recovery.

A later decline could take Cardano price toward $0.09.

A decisive break below $0.05 would damage the remaining bullish structure.

More Crypto Online considers $0.05 the lower boundary for a reasonable wave 2 correction. A move below that price could place ADA on course toward new all time lows. Cardano remains far above that level at its current price near $0.20.

ADA Must Break $0.52 Before a Larger Recovery Becomes Credible

More Crypto Online wants to see a clear 5 wave advance instead of a temporary 3 wave bounce. ADA would also need to move above $0.52, complete a corrective pullback, and produce another strong upward reaction.

The confirmation process would therefore include these steps:

ADA produces a clear 5 wave move from its eventual bottom.

Cardano price breaks above the major resistance near $0.52.

ADA completes a controlled pullback toward a new support area.

Buyers defend that support and push the price upward again.

That sequence would provide the first credible sign that Cardano price has started a larger recovery. More Crypto Online considers $1.30 the first major target because that level marked the November 2024 high. A successful move beyond $1.30 could open the path toward Cardano’s former record.

The Cardano Price Targets Depend On Where ADA Finds Its Bottom

More Crypto Online calculated several possible upside targets through Fibonacci extensions. These levels remain conditional because the channel has not confirmed that ADA has completed its decline.

The major targets presented in the analysis include:

$1.30 represents the first important recovery target.

$3.38 represents the first major Fibonacci extension target.

$16 becomes possible if ADA first drops toward $0.09.

$24 appears if the larger recovery begins near the current price.

More Crypto Online does not view $16 or $24 as suitable initial targets. The analyst considers $3.38 more reasonable because it rests slightly above Cardano’s $3.10 all time high. ADA must still break $0.52 and establish a bullish structure before that target becomes relevant.

Cardano Faces Greater Competition Than It Did During 2021

Reaching a new Cardano all time high may now prove harder than it was during the previous cycle. Thousands of cryptocurrencies compete for users, developers, investment capital, and market attention. Ethereum, Solana, and newer networks have also expanded across DeFi, stablecoins, and tokenized assets.

ADA would need more than a favorable chart structure. Cardano must increase network activity, rebuild community confidence, and create stronger reasons for institutions and retail users to consider its token. Exceptional market attention could also become necessary because investment capital now has far more destinations than it had during 2021.

Cardano price can technically return above $3.10, based on the structure presented by More Crypto Online. The journey remains uncertain because another fall toward $0.09 cannot be dismissed first. ADA’s performance around $0.23, $0.52, and eventually $1.30 will determine its future.
