Dogecoin is trying to turn a corner, and one widely followed chart watcher thinks the setup is unusually strong.Analyst Ali Charts (<a href="https://x.com/alicharts" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">@alicharts</a>) called DOGE "screaming bullish" on Monday, pointing to the TD Sequential flashing buy signals on the monthly, weekly, three-day and daily charts at the same time. The TD Sequential is a popular technical indicator that counts price bars to estimate when a trend is exhausted and may be about to reverse; a "buy signal" suggests selling pressure is fading. "It's rare to see this kind of alignment across so many timeframes at once," he wrote — meaning the signal is showing up on both short-term and long-term charts together.He is also watching specific price levels. With DOGE near $0.072, he cites on-chain supply data — a map of the prices where large amounts of DOGE were last bought, which tend to act as barriers — that points to $0.081 as the first major resistance, a ceiling where selling often picks up. A breakout above it, he said, could open the way toward $0.177, the next "supply zone" where a cluster of holders bought in and may sell to break even.In a note two days earlier, he flagged support around $0.056 — a floor where buyers tend to step in — and a broader upside toward $0.16, with the top of his price channel near $0.45.<h2 id="what-dogecoin-is-and-how-it-started">What Dogecoin is, and how it started</h2>Dogecoin was launched on Dec. 6, 2013, by software engineers Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer, who created it as a parody of the rapid proliferation of cryptocurrencies at the time. Its name and mascot come from the "Doge" meme, built around a 2010 photograph of a Shiba Inu named Kabosu. Markus wrote the software using Litecoin's codebase, by way of an intermediate project called Luckycoin, so Dogecoin runs on a proof-of-work system in the same family as Bitcoin.It differs from Bitcoin in a key way: it has no maximum supply. Miners receive 10,000 new DOGE roughly every minute, adding about 5 billion coins to circulation each year, which makes the token inflationary by design. Despite its origins as a joke, Dogecoin developed an active community known for online tipping and charity drives, and it later drew repeated public support from Tesla chief executive Elon Musk. The token reached a record high of $0.7376 on May 8, 2021, and remains one of the largest cryptocurrencies by market value.
