Reports that Balance Coin (BLC) fell 99% after a 42DAO exploit remain unverified, and no on-chain data, project statement, or market feed in the available record confirms either the exploit or the scale of the price move.
Balance Coin appears as a listed token in public token directories, but there is currently no confirmed, readable source documenting a 42DAO exploit or a 99% decline in BLC. Until a transaction hash, an official 42DAO disclosure, or verifiable market data is available, the claim cannot be treated as established fact. For related coverage, see Franklin Templeton Exec Says Agentic AI Is Crypto's Killer Use Case as ETH Nears $2K.
No 42DAO statement describing an attack vector, no timeline linking a breach to BLC trading, and no verified intraday price or liquidity data could be located. That absence matters: an exploit claim of this severity is normally accompanied by an on-chain trail on a block explorer and a team acknowledgment, neither of which is present here.
Why the 99% Claim Cannot Be Confirmed Yet

A drawdown of the magnitude described would typically be visible in market-cap, volume, and liquidity data, and in a smart-contract event log. None of that supporting evidence is available in the current record, so the figure in the headline should be read as an unconfirmed report rather than a measured decline. Sudden token collapses tied to protocol incidents are not unusual in the sector. Cardano's Midnight token NIGHT, for example, hit an all-time low after a 290 million token dump, a case where the sell-off was traceable to a specific, documented event. The BLC situation lacks that kind of corroboration at this stage.
What Holders Should Watch For

There is no confirmed remediation, pause, or compensation announcement from 42DAO, and no verified guidance on user funds or treasury exposure. Holders seeking to verify any claim should look for a primary block-explorer entry showing the transaction, sender and receiver addresses, and timestamp, plus a first-party statement from the project.
This report will be updated if verifiable evidence of a 42DAO exploit or a confirmed BLC price move becomes available. Until then, the story stands as an unconfirmed claim that the available research could not substantiate.
