Russia's parliament is scheduled to hold final readings on a crypto bill Tuesday, moving legislation tracked as bill No. 1194918-8 through the closing stage of its passage in the State Duma.

The measure is registered on the State Duma's official legislative tracker under bill No. 1194918-8, which is the authoritative record cited for this story. The listing is the primary reference point for the bill's status and scheduled proceedings. For related coverage, see DOJ Charges Two in $389M AudiA6 Crypto Laundering Case.

Russian outlets covering the bill's progress include Interfax and Kommersant, both of which appear in the research record as secondary coverage of the legislation.

Where the Bill Stands in Russia's Legislative Process

Bills in the State Duma typically pass through three readings before adoption. A final reading indicates the legislation has advanced to a late procedural stage rather than an early or introductory one. For related coverage, see OKX Expands Beyond Crypto With 24/7 Trading in U.S. Stocks, Oil and Gold.

This is process context only, not a full account of Russian crypto policy. The research record supporting this article is limited to the Duma bill page and the secondary coverage noted above.

Verification here is partial. The specific provisions of the bill could not be confirmed from the available research, so this article does not describe the bill's contents beyond its identifier and its scheduled final readings.

What to Watch Immediately After the Readings

The most concrete near-term development to monitor is procedural: whether the bill clears its final readings as scheduled and what step follows in the legislative sequence.

Russia's approach to digital assets sits alongside other jurisdictions tightening their frameworks, including the United Kingdom's finalized crypto rules and FCA authorization timeline, and follows earlier actions such as EU sanctions on Russia-linked crypto platforms.

Enforcement-side developments have also involved Russian actors, as seen when Ukraine placed seized crypto under state management for the first time, underscoring how regional policy and asset control continue to intersect.

No confirmed market reaction data, sentiment readings, or expert commentary tied to this bill are available in the research file. For that reason, this article draws no conclusions about price or market impact.

The next confirmable signal will be the outcome of Tuesday's readings and any subsequent procedural step recorded on the State Duma's official tracker.
