Monica Long, president of Ripple, is drawing renewed attention as the growth of RLUSD strengthens the company's stablecoin position, with her name appearing on an industry list ranking the most influential people shaping the stablecoin sector.

Why Monica Long is back in focus

Long serves as president of Ripple, the role that places her at the center of the company's strategy and day-to-day execution across its payments and stablecoin businesses. For related coverage, see Ripple Burns 10 Million RLUSD While Minting Spree Continues.

Her renewed visibility is tied to the momentum around RLUSD, Ripple's dollar-backed stablecoin, rather than to any single corporate announcement. The recognition centers on Long herself as a leader associated with that product's rise.
She was named among the most influential figures in the stablecoin industry, according to a Stablecon influence list that maps the people shaping the sector.

WHAT TO KNOW

Who: Monica Long, president of Ripple

Why now: Recognition as a top stablecoin-industry figure follows RLUSD's growth

What it signals: Ripple's stablecoin work is increasingly viewed as central, not peripheral

How RLUSD growth is strengthening Ripple's market narrative

RLUSD is Ripple's enterprise-grade stablecoin, positioned by the company as a core piece of its payments and settlement offering rather than a side product.

As RLUSD gains traction, markets tend to read stablecoin growth as a proxy for adoption and ecosystem reach, which reinforces Ripple's broader relevance beyond its XRP-linked brand.

That distinction matters. Attention on RLUSD's momentum is not the same as attention on Ripple or XRP generally, and Long's recognition ties the leadership narrative specifically to the stablecoin push. Ripple has documented that push through steps like its ongoing burns of RLUSD supply and continued minting activity.

The stablecoin's reach has also extended geographically. Ripple and SBI Group agreed to launch Ripple USD in Japan, a partnership that widens RLUSD's availability into a major market.

What Monica Long's recognition could mean for Ripple next

Leadership recognition often rises when a product narrative gains traction, and Long's inclusion on an influence list reflects that pattern more than any standalone milestone.

Executive visibility carries weight during a product expansion. When a company's president is publicly associated with a growing stablecoin, it can shape how partners, regulators, and users perceive that effort. Ripple has leaned on that association, and the company itself congratulated Long publicly.

For readers tracking Ripple, the practical signal is where the company's public positioning is pointing. Coverage such as RLUSD's ranking among fast-growing stablecoins and its expanding distribution partnerships shows the momentum that underpins Long's recognition.

What remains unclear is how durable that growth will prove, and the current evidence supports Long's rising profile more firmly than it supports any specific claim about RLUSD's long-term outcome.
