Rally

Long-term holders resumed buying Bitcoin<a href="https://yellow.com/asset/btc" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">(BTC)</a> after 12 days of selling, reviving a signal that preceded a <a href="https://yellow.com/news/bitcoin-reclaims-64k-39b-rally-weak-spot-demand" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">25% rally earlier this year</a>.

<h2 id="bitcoin-holder-shift">Bitcoin Holder Shift</h2>
Glassnode’s long-term holder net position change <a href="https://beincrypto.com/bitcoin-price-long-term-holders-analysis/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">turned</a> positive on Jul. 11 and 12, showing that wallets holding coins for roughly 155 days or longer bought faster than they sold.
The group added a net 5,912 BTC across the two days while Bitcoin traded near $62,717, about 2% lower over 24 hours. The reversal followed 12 straight days of net selling.
Long-term holders tend to move less frequently than short-term traders, so renewed accumulation can remove available supply during periods of weakness. However, two positive days provide only an early indication, and the signal would weaken if these wallets quickly return to selling.

<h2 id="bitcoin-rally-test">Bitcoin Rally Test</h2>
The last comparable reversal began in late February, when Bitcoin traded near $65,896.
Accumulation then strengthened before the price reached about $82,186 on May 10, marking an increase of roughly 25%.
Buying later slowed in late May, and long-term holders became net sellers by late June as Bitcoin moved back toward $60,000. In both phases, the change in holder behavior appeared before the corresponding price move.
ETF flows now offer a second supporting signal. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted about $197 million in the week through Jul. 10, their first positive week following eight consecutive weeks of net outflows.
The current setup still needs sustained accumulation from both groups to resemble the earlier rally. The February shift lasted for weeks before Bitcoin reached its May peak, while the latest reversal covers only Jul. 11 and 12 and remains vulnerable to another round of selling.
