Binance Stocks has issued a notice regarding SK hynix Inc. ADR, referenced under the tickers SKHYV and SKHY, as the South Korean memory chipmaker begins trading on the Nasdaq exchange.
The notice coincides with SK hynix's Nasdaq debut. According to a Binance Square post, the company plans to start trading under the ticker SKHY and aims to raise approximately $2.9 billion through its American Depositary Receipt offering. The ADR listing is backed by a registration statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, confirming the formal regulatory steps behind the offering.
Why Two Ticker References Appear in the Notice

The Binance Stocks notice references both SKHYV and SKHY. This distinction matters for traders searching for the correct instrument on the platform.
SKHY is the Nasdaq ticker under which SK hynix ADRs trade on public markets. SKHYV likely represents the internal Binance Stocks identifier or a pre-listing variant used on the platform. Traders should confirm which symbol corresponds to live trading on Binance Stocks before placing orders.
This type of dual-ticker formatting is not uncommon when platforms like Binance Stocks, which recently added 10 bStocks trading pairs to its spot market, onboard new equity instruments. Verifying the exact symbol against the official notice text prevents order errors.

What the Listing Means for Binance Stocks Users

SK hynix is a major global semiconductor manufacturer, and its Nasdaq listing opens direct U.S. market access to the stock. For Binance Stocks users, the notice signals that the platform is acknowledging or preparing to support trading activity around this ADR.
The approximately $2.9 billion ADR raise positions it as one of the larger recent cross-border equity offerings. Traders monitoring Binance Stocks should watch for follow-up notices clarifying whether the platform will enable full trading, adjust existing pairs, or impose any restrictions tied to the new listing.
Binance has been expanding its regulatory footprint in multiple jurisdictions, including its MiCA licensing efforts in Greece, which reflects a broader push to operate across both crypto and traditional finance products.

Details to Confirm Before Acting on the Notice

Because the full body of the Binance Stocks notice is not publicly detailed beyond the headline-level announcement, traders should verify several points before taking action:

Ticker match: Confirm whether SKHYV is actively tradable on Binance Stocks or if SKHY is the only live symbol.

Trading availability: Check whether the notice announces new trading support, a symbol change, or an informational update only.

Timing: Verify the effective date of any changes referenced in the notice, particularly relative to the Nasdaq listing date.

ADR terms: Review the SEC filing for details on the ADR ratio, pricing, and any lock-up provisions that could affect near-term liquidity.

Relying on the official notice text from Binance Stocks, rather than secondary summaries, is essential for accuracy when making trading decisions around newly listed instruments.
