Shiba Inu community veteran Mazrael has urged SHIB holders to stop using legacy ecosystem domains, warning that they no longer belong to the project. According to Mazrael, Shib.io is now the official gateway for accessing Shiba Inu services, including ShibaSwap and Shibarium.
The advisory comes as the project works to direct users toward a single verified platform while reducing the risk of phishing attempts. Consequently, community members have been encouraged to verify official links before connecting wallets or approving transactions.
According to Mazrael, retired domains should no longer be treated as trusted sources of ecosystem information. Instead, users should rely on Shib.io for official updates and access to Shiba Inu products.
The warning also extends to the former ShibTheMetaverse website. Mazrael explained that the domain is no longer owned or managed by the Shiba Inu team. Therefore, another party could acquire the address and publish unrelated content under the same domain.
Besides highlighting the ownership change, Mazrael stressed that users should not assume any future material appearing on that website has links to the SHIB ecosystem. The reminder aims to prevent confusion while protecting community members from unofficial platforms.

Mazrael Says Future Metaverse Access Will Come Through Shib.io

According to Mazrael, Shib The Metaverse is expected to return through Shib.io instead of operating from a separate standalone website. That approach would place another major ecosystem product under the project’s primary portal while simplifying access for users.
Moreover, the latest guidance reinforces the importance of checking website addresses before interacting with any Shiba Inu service. Fake websites and expired domains remain common tools used by scammers targeting cryptocurrency users. As a result, verifying official links has become an essential security practice.
Additionally, the advisory reminds users to avoid signing wallet transactions or entering sensitive information on websites that have not been confirmed by the project. Those precautions can help reduce exposure to phishing attacks and fraudulent platforms designed to imitate legitimate crypto services.
Mazrael’s update reflects broader security challenges across the digital asset industry. Many blockchain projects have warned their communities about malicious actors purchasing abandoned domains or creating lookalike websites to deceive users. Therefore, directing users to a single official portal can reduce uncertainty and improve ecosystem security.
The clarification also helps distinguish active project infrastructure from retired assets. As the Shiba Inu ecosystem expands through products such as Shibarium and ShibaSwap, maintaining a clear official access point becomes increasingly important for community safety.

Conclusion

According to Mazrael, SHIB holders should treat Shib.io as the project’s only official gateway and avoid relying on legacy domains that no longer belong to the Shiba Inu ecosystem. The latest reminder encourages users to verify every official link before accessing ecosystem services or approving blockchain transactions.
