Strategy's bitcoin treasury has moved above 716,000 BTC, turning the latest company disclosure into a fresh marker for how far one public company has pushed a bitcoin-first balance sheet strategy.

TLDR Keypoints

Strategy said it now holds 717,722 BTC after acquiring 592 BTC.

The company's purchases page presents the bitcoin position as an ongoing treasury record.

Future updates on the purchases page and the linked SEC filing will matter because they document any further change in the reserve.

Why this threshold matters for a corporate treasury

In its Feb. 23, 2026 announcement, Strategy said it acquired 592 BTC and now holds 717,722 BTC. That moves the company past the headline threshold and makes the development a treasury milestone rather than a general market story.

The same disclosure trail also appears in Strategy's purchases page and in the linked SEC filing dated Feb. 23, 2026. Taken together, those company and regulatory records show the updated total was presented as formal corporate disclosure.

What the increase says about Strategy's bitcoin-first treasury approach

The move from an added 592 BTC to a disclosed total of 717,722 BTC is the clearest evidence in this brief that Strategy is still building around bitcoin on its balance sheet. That reading comes from the company's own pairing of the latest purchase and the running total in the same announcement.

Strategy's purchases page also matters because it gives investors a standing place to follow the company's disclosed bitcoin position over time. That institutional framing lines up with broader bitcoin exposure stories that nftenex has tracked, including Franklin Templeton's bitcoin DRIP index ETF filing and GoMining's GoBTC Pay SDK and API rollout.

What readers will watch next

With 717,722 BTC now tied to Strategy, future changes on the company's purchases page and any related SEC filings are the clearest watch points. The size of the disclosed reserve is what keeps balance-sheet concentration at the center of the story.

That focus on concentration also helps explain why large crypto-balance stories often intersect with operational risk, a theme that also appears in nftenex coverage of the $8 million crypto heist case. In this case, though, the evidence stays narrow: Strategy's own announcement, its tracking page, and the linked SEC filing show the company has moved past the headline threshold.
