@SpaceX has officially secured a $2.5 trillion market cap, eclipsing the aggregate valuation of the entire cryptocurrency market. The milestone comes in the wake of the company's historic Nasdaq debut on June 12, 2026, which ranked as the largest initial public offering on record, raising $75 billion.
Shares opened at $150, an 11% premium over the $135 IPO price, before closing up roughly 19% at $160.95. Post-market trading pushed the stock higher still, briefly lifting the market cap toward the $2.2 trillion range on day one alone. The subsequent rally carried the valuation to the $2.5 trillion level cited by @BSCNews, decisively overtaking the combined weight of $BTC, $ETH, and $SOL.
For context, CoinMarketCap data shows the global crypto market cap sitting at approximately $2.2 trillion at the time of writing, meaning SpaceX now commands a premium over every digital asset in existence, taken together.

SpaceX's ascent to this valuation is underpinned by its Starlink satellite internet division, which remains the only consistently profitable segment of the business. The company reported $19.3 billion in revenue over the past four quarters, a figure that dwarfs its closest listed space rival, Rocket Lab, which generated just $680 million over the same period.
The picture is not without complexity. SpaceX has accumulated a total loss of $41.3 billion since its founding in 2002, and its S-1 filing acknowledged that the company has "a history of net losses and may not achieve profitability in the future." Its AI unit, acquired through the February 2026 absorption of Elon Musk's xAI, spent $7.72 billion in the first quarter of 2026 alone and posted a $2.47 billion operating loss in the same period.
Still, investor appetite held firm. The IPO minted Elon Musk as the world's first trillionaire and is expected to create thousands of new millionaires among early employees and backers. Goldman Sachs, the lead bookrunner, saw its shares rise more than 2% on the day of the listing.
The "historic flip" noted by @BSCNews is a snapshot in time. Both the crypto market and SpaceX's share price will continue to move. But for now, a single rocket and satellite company outweighs the combined market value of every cryptocurrency on earth.
