Is Altcoin Season Finally Picking Up Steam as ETF Money Flows In?

Before we get into individual moves, here's the bigger picture of top crypto gainers today. Hyperliquid's spot ETF just recorded its fifth consecutive week of net inflows — that's the headline story today. When institutional capital keeps moving into a DeFi-native asset like HYPE for five straight weeks, it signals something more than short-term speculation. Add to this Binance's fresh perpetual listing for Block Street, renewed DePIN optimism around Grass and Spacecoin, and a Solana MEV narrative lifting JTO.
You have a session where the biggest crypto gainers today are spread across multiple themes at once in the crypto market. Bitcoin is holding in a range near $71,000, giving altcoins enough breathing room to run.

Why Block Street (BSB) Price Up Today?

BSB is today's loudest mover. Binance launched BSBUSDT perpetual contracts with up to 10x leverage, and the market reacted fast.

Traders piled in across both CEX and DEX venues, pushing 24-hour volume past $77 million — massive for a token with a $35 million market cap.
BloFin and Carbon also added BSB perps in the same window, widening access further. BSB is currently trading at$0.4317, up over 49.6% in 24 hours, touching a new all-time high today.

Analyst note:

A Binance perp listing on a small-cap token tends to compress time. What might take weeks in organic buying gets pulled forward in hours.

Why Hyperliquid (HYPE) Price Up Today?

Hyperliquid's spot ETF products have seen only a single day of net outflows since launch — and this week added another $5.87 million in fresh capital.

That kind of demand building is rare in the altcoin space. HyperEVM transaction fees recently hit record highs, protocol revenue is growing, and the validator set expanded from 24 to 27, adding decentralization.
HYPE is currently at $71.64, up around 10.4% on the day, sitting just below its all-time high of $75.48.

Analyst note:

Five consecutive weeks of ETF inflows on a DeFi-native asset is a signal worth paying attention to — this looks less like rotation and more like steady accumulation.

Why Jito (JTO) Price Up Today?

After bottoming near $0.23 in February, JTO has been steadily recovering.

The Jito Economy narrative — framing JTO as a direct bet on Solana's total MEV revenue and liquid staking growth — has been pulling renewed buying over recent weeks.
JTO reclaimed its 200-day EMA, a level that often brings follow-on technical buyers. It now trades at $0.7555, with a 24-hour gain of roughly 27.0% on strong volume.

Analyst note:

MEV isn't the flashiest story, but it's one of the most structural in crypto. JTO is being watched as a direct play on Solana's continued dominance as a trading chain.

Why Grass (GRASS) Price Up Today?

Grass lets users sell their unused internet bandwidth to AI companies for training data — and that use case is getting fresh attention. Trading volume jumped over 215% in a single day, signaling a sharp rise in market activity.

Source: CoinGecko price chart
OKX recently published a detailed report positioning Grass as a critical data layer in the AI stack, while the project's 8.5 million active farmers and a major community call on July 7 — expected to clarify Season 2 airdrop details — are keeping investor focus elevated.
Buyers reclaimed control after a pullback earlier in June, with volume expansion reinforcing strength behind the latest advance. GRASS is currently trading near $0.47, up roughly 6.4% in 24 hours.

Analyst note:

Grass sits at an interesting spot — real AI revenue, massive user base, but still well off its highs. The upcoming July 7 call could be the next key moment for this token.

Why Spacecoin (SPACE) Price Up Today?

Spacecoin signed a $100 million exclusive deal to bring decentralized satellite internet to Vietnam earlier this month, and that partnership is continuing to attract investor focus.

Source: CoinGecko daily chart
SPACE builds blockchain-enabled satellites in low-Earth orbit, targeting 2.6 billion underserved people globally.
With satellite internet increasingly in mainstream conversation, a decentralized alternative is getting its share of attention. SPACE is trading near $0.0081, up around 24.6% today.

Analyst note:

The $100M Vietnam deal gave SPACE a real-world anchor. DePIN plays with signed government partnerships tend to hold interest longer than pure narrative tokens.

Conclusion

Today's top crypto gainers today tell a clear story about what the crypto market is rewarding: exchange listings that expand access, ETF-driven institutional conviction, AI data infrastructure with genuine users, and DePIN projects with real contracts signed. Investors are increasingly selective — the biggest winners each carry a distinct catalyst, not just hype. As Bitcoin holds range and altcoin momentum picks up, JTO and HYPE stand out for structural backing, while GRASS represents what could become one of the best crypto to invest now for those watching the AI-DePIN crossover theme build through the second half of 2026.
