Garrett Jin, the trader known as The Bitcoin OG 10/11, has further increased his leveraged long position in Zcash to 46,013 ZEC, valued at approximately $19.3 million, signaling continued bullish conviction on the privacy-focused cryptocurrency.

What Changed in Garrett Jin's ZEC Long Position

The position increase brings Jin's total ZEC exposure to 46,013 ZEC with 2x leverage. This was not a new entry but a deliberate addition to an existing long, suggesting growing confidence in ZEC's price trajectory.

At the stated valuation of $19.3 million, the position represents a substantial directional bet on a token that sits well outside the top-ten by market capitalization. The 2x leverage structure doubles Jin's exposure to price movements in either direction.

TLDR: KEY POINTS

Trader: Garrett Jin (The Bitcoin OG 10/11)

Position: 46,013 ZEC long with 2x leverage

Notional value: ~$19.3 million

Action: Increased an existing position, not a new entry

Why a Large ZEC Long Draws Attention

The Signal

A leveraged long position of this size in ZEC is notable because it reflects high-conviction directional positioning from a single trader. Whale-sized moves on less liquid tokens tend to attract attention from other market participants tracking on-chain flows.

The 2x leverage means Jin is amplifying his bullish exposure. If ZEC rises, the position gains at twice the rate of the underlying asset. The flip side is that losses are equally amplified on any decline.

Sentiment vs. Consensus

One trader's position, however large, does not represent broader market consensus on ZEC. Large individual bets can reflect unique conviction, access to information, or portfolio hedging strategies that may not apply to the wider market. Readers watching ZEC price action should weigh this as one data point among many.

Risk Framing

Leveraged positions carry liquidation risk. A sufficiently sharp move against the trade could force a partial or full close. The specific liquidation threshold for this position is not publicly confirmed, so readers should avoid speculating on exact levels.

What to Watch Next

The two immediate follow-up angles are ZEC price reaction and whether the position holds or grows. If Jin adds further to the long, it would reinforce the bullish signal. A reduction or close would suggest the thesis has shifted.

Traders monitoring large positions like this one may also want to track broader crypto market movements. Recent large-scale stablecoin transfers between major exchanges can sometimes precede shifts in trading activity across altcoin markets, including privacy coins like ZEC.

For now, the position stands as a watchlist item rather than a confirmed trend. Without additional confirmed catalysts for ZEC, the durability and outcome of this trade will depend on price developments that have yet to unfold.
