Crypto trading is not for the weak-hearted.
Unlike traditional market traders, crypto traders never truly clock out. They sleep with one eye open. Chilling over the weekend is a luxury. A crash or a hack can wipe their entire portfolio at 3 a.m. just as easily as at 3 p.m.
Now, with Bitcoin (BTC) leading its peers to new lows, the internet is rife with memes and jokes on the perils of crypto traders.
And controversial billionaire Bryan Johnson has a take on it.

Who is Bryan Johnson?

Johnson is a 48-year-old tech entrepreneur and billionaire best known for Project Blueprint, a rigorous self-experimentation protocol designed to slow and reverse his biological aging.
He sold his payments company Braintree, which acquired Venmo, to PayPal for $800 million in 2013, then founded Kernel, a neurotechnology company, and OS Fund, which backs scientists working on extending human lifespan.

Johnson spends roughly $2 million a year on his body, following a strict regimen of diet, sleep, exercise, and medical testing.
His biological age, as measured by various biomarkers, has reportedly tested significantly younger than his chronological age.

Is crypto trading making us old?

A user on X posted a photo of Johnson on X with a simple caption: "How I feel after not touching crypto for a couple days."
Johnson, who has built an entire empire around slowing and reversing the aging process, saw the joke and responded with something far more pointed.

"It would be interesting to measure the biological age impact of crypto versus other professions to evaluate if it's an accelerator of aging processes," he said.

The post lands at a particularly stressful moment for the crypto market. As of June 2, Bitcoin has shed more than 14% over the past month and is down over 24% in the past six months.
It recently broke below $70,000 for the first time since April, with over $1.2 billion in liquidations recorded in a single 24-hour stretch.
If the market keeps moving like this, Johnson may have an entire industry's worth of aging data to work with.
