As we move through the first half of 2026, DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations) are entering another phase of rapid growth. Whether in project governance, resource allocation, or community decision-making, DAOs are evolving from a conceptual framework into one of the most important governance models in the global Web3 ecosystem. Their growth rate and adoption have far exceeded market expectations.

According to the latest data, there are now more than 12,000 DAO organizations worldwide in 2026, with over 6,000 active DAOs regularly advancing governance initiatives. Collectively, they have launched more than 16,000 on-chain proposals this year alone. When all DAO structures are included, the total number of DAOs globally has surpassed 14,000.

Compared to approximately 500 DAOs in 2024, this represents growth of more than 280% — outpacing even the expansion rate of the broader cryptocurrency market during the same period.

At the same time, the total value locked (TVL) managed by DAO ecosystems has reached $26 billion, representing growth of more than 100% compared to 2024.

The message is clear: DAOs have moved beyond the stage of small-scale experimentation and have entered the era of large-scale adoption, becoming one of the primary arenas for governance innovation.

In today’s interconnected world, no concept or system develops in isolation. The rise of DAOs is not happening by chance. Behind this wave are multiple driving forces, including technological advancement, stronger infrastructure, expanding consensus, and broader social transformation.

Technology Has Matured and Governance Tools Have Improved: DAOs Are Finally Becoming Practical

With the advancement of blockchain scaling solutions such as ZkSync, Optimism, and Arbitrum, alongside the growing adoption of next-generation governance tools like Snapshot X, Tally, and Agora, the barriers to DAO participation have dropped significantly.

On-chain voting costs have fallen dramatically, allowing ordinary users — not just whales and core contributors — to participate in governance.

Governance automation tools have matured, enabling task allocation, budget management, proposal execution, and voting processes to be automated, reducing administrative overhead.

As a result, DAO governance has gradually evolved from being expensive, complex, and difficult to participate in into a system that is low-cost, efficient, and accessible.

The Expansion of Web3 Is Driving Strong Demand for Governance

As Web3 enters a more mature and competitive stage, an increasing number of projects are treating DAO governance as an essential component of their ecosystems, particularly in areas such as:

DeFi, where governance tokens determine protocol direction and liquidity pool parameters.

NFT ecosystems, where community governance has become critical for long-term brand development.

GameFi projects, where DAOs influence tokenomics, asset issuance, and community incentives.

Representative examples include:

SuperEx DAO — where the community participates in shaping product development through voting.

Uniswap DAO — managing billions of dollars in liquidity.

ENS DAO — determining the future direction of decentralized naming services.

As more successful examples emerge, DAO governance is no longer an optional feature — it is increasingly becoming a necessity.

Social Collaboration Models Are Undergoing Structural Change

Traditional hierarchical management structures are struggling to meet the needs of global, rapidly evolving collaboration.

DAOs introduce three transformative advantages:

Flat governance structures — authority is no longer concentrated within management layers.

Transparent processes — proposals, execution records, and fund movements are recorded on-chain.

Community-driven participation — users become both governors and contributors.

The DAO model is now expanding beyond Web3 and influencing broader forms of social coordination, including:

Corporate management

Nonprofit organizations

Community-based economies

Government governance experiments in regions such as Estonia and Switzerland

DAO governance is no longer a novel concept. It is becoming a scalable organizational framework that can be adopted across multiple sectors.

Real Data Shows DAOs Are Moving into the Mainstream

Several key metrics continue to validate the rapid rise of DAO governance:

Governance participation is increasing. DAO proposal approval rates reached 75% in 2024, significantly higher than 65% in 2023.

Economic scale continues to expand. DAO TVL surpassed $13 billion, with annual growth exceeding 25%.

Ecosystem network effects are accelerating. More than 4,000 active DAOs operate on Ethereum alone, attracting millions of participants globally.

The pace of DAO expansion has already made it an important part of the Web3 infrastructure stack.

SuperEx DAO: A Key Force in the Global DAO Governance Movement

Within the broader trend of Web3 globalization, SuperEx DAO has successfully completed the transition from a centralized platform model to a genuine community-governed organization.

More importantly, it has created a governance framework that is practical, executable, and replicable.

1. Global Presence: DAO Communities Across 22 Countries and Regions

Built around the concept of global consensus, SuperEx DAO has established localized DAO communities in 22 countries and regions.

Through community participation and proposal mechanisms, these communities actively contribute to governance and ecosystem growth.

This makes SuperEx DAO one of the few organizations that has achieved meaningful global community collaboration at scale.

2. Governance Decentralization Has Been Fully Implemented

SuperEx DAO has already completed the implementation of key decentralization mechanisms, including:

Community-led decision-making

DAO voting for major proposals

Transparent governance procedures and on-chain rules

DAO-managed treasury operations rather than centralized team control

The core principles of DAO governance — transparency, openness, and autonomy — have been translated into real-world implementation within SuperEx DAO rather than remaining theoretical concepts.

3. DAO Treasury Mechanism: Ensuring Long-Term Sustainability

To ensure the long-term viability of DAO governance, SuperEx established a dedicated DAO treasury designed to support:

High-quality proposals

Community growth initiatives and governance activities

Builder incentives

Public-interest and global expansion projects

Outstanding DAO communities may receive project grants, growth incentives, and long-term support programs.

This ensures that governance participation becomes more than symbolic engagement and instead evolves into a self-reinforcing ecosystem.

4. How to Join SuperEx DAO

All SuperEx users, as well as individuals who share SuperEx’s values and are willing to contribute to the development of the Web3 ecosystem, are eligible to join and establish a SuperEx DAO community.

Applicants simply need to submit the required information through the official application form. SuperEx DAO will review submissions accordingly.

Click the following link to submit your application: https://bit.ly/377IAOt

5. DAO Academy

SuperEx has collaborated with DAO communities across multiple countries and regions to establish DAO Academy, providing DAO members with free opportunities for education and growth.

SuperEx Academy is the world’s first online academy dedicated to comprehensive education on crypto-native indicators. It features one of the most extensive collections of technical indicator tutorials available, making it one of the most detailed learning platforms for market technical analysis.

Students can access hundreds of courses covering widely used indicators, as well as tutorials on nearly every major crypto-native indicator currently available.

Building the Future of a Fully Decentralized Web3 Ecosystem

SuperEx DAO governance represents one of the most important pillars in SuperEx’s vision of building a fully decentralized Web3 ecosystem.

Looking ahead, SuperEx aims to decentralize not only governance but also technology, operations, branding, and ecosystem development. Through SuperEx DAO, these areas will eventually be coordinated and managed collectively by the community, creating a truly decentralized operating model.

For example, DAO decisions are initiated through proposals and voting mechanisms to ensure every participant within SuperEx DAO has a voice and contributes to consensus building.

One notable example occurred during the Token2049 Summit in London. As an invited guest speaker at one of the world’s most influential cryptocurrency conferences, SuperEx chose to allocate its guest participation opportunity to members of the SuperEx DAO community.

This gave community representatives a chance to engage directly with some of the most influential organizations and leaders in the global crypto industry — an opportunity whose value extends far beyond financial considerations.

Importantly, these representatives were not appointed by SuperEx.

Instead, they were elected through community voting and chosen collectively by DAO members to represent SuperEx at one of the largest crypto events in the world.

Through actions like these, SuperEx continues to demonstrate its commitment to a core principle:

SuperEx always places the development of the Web3 ecosystem first, and the growth of DAO governance remains one of its most important long-term strategic prioritie
