The United States SailGP Team has announced a new global partnership with Crypto.com and OG Prediction Markets, marking a notable crossover between elite sailing and the fast-growing world of prediction markets. The multi-year agreement arrives just ahead of the New York Sail Grand Prix, which is expected to bring major attention to the city’s waterfront later this week.
Under the deal, Crypto.com and OG Prediction Markets will serve as the Official Crypto Exchange and Official Prediction Market Partners of the U.S. SailGP Team. The partnership will be visible across the team’s F50 boat, race kit, and team environments, giving the collaboration a prominent on-water and off-water presence throughout the season. Beyond branding, the agreement also includes digital content campaigns, fan activations, and integrations within OG Prediction Markets, creating a new way for supporters to engage with racing as it unfolds in real time.
OG Prediction Markets allows users to trade contracts tied to live sporting events and other global outcomes. The partnership with SailGP is being framed as a natural fit, given the league’s highly data-driven racing format and rapid pace. With races that are decided by fine margins and unfolding conditions, SailGP offers the kind of competitive environment that prediction market users can follow closely and react to in real time. Fans attending this weekend’s Grand Prix will be among the first to see the integration in action.
SailGP, often described as the Formula 1 of the water, has built its reputation around speed, precision and spectacle. Its F50 foiling catamarans can reach speeds of more than 60 miles per hour, and the league brings together thirteen national teams that compete at iconic venues around the world. The series has drawn a growing audience through both broadcast and streaming platforms, helping it establish itself as one of the most dynamic properties in global sport.

Crypto.com executives said the partnership reflects the company’s broader strategy of supporting top-tier competition and expanding its prediction markets offering into sports that demand a high level of technical understanding. The company also positioned the agreement as part of its effort to strengthen the U.S. role in prediction markets while building a larger global trading community around sports and event contracts.
For the United States SailGP Team, the deal adds more than a sponsor logo. It brings access to Crypto.com’s large user base and the growing OG Prediction Markets community, potentially opening the door to deeper fan engagement and new commercial opportunities. Team officials described the partnership as a strong sign of confidence in the direction of both the team and SailGP itself.
The timing is significant. The announcement comes just days before the New York Sail Grand Prix, one of the biggest races on the calendar, and the partnership’s branding will make its public debut there. Co-branded content and platform integrations are also expected to roll out immediately across partner channels.
The U.S. SailGP Team enters the 2026 season with momentum on and off the water. Since the team was acquired in November 2023 by private owners Ryan and Margaret McKillen and two-time world champion Mike Buckley, it has continued to build a stronger commercial foundation. Backed by investors across sports, entertainment and technology, the team has added leadership, talent and partnerships aimed at shaping it into a modern American sports brand.
Led by nine-time world champion Taylor Canfield, the lineup also includes Anna Weis, Hans Henken and Michael Menninger. With a growing partner portfolio and a sharper competitive focus, the team appears to be positioning itself for long-term success both in racing and in brand building.
Crypto.com, founded in 2016, says it is used by millions worldwide and emphasizes compliance, security and privacy. OG operates as part of the broader Crypto.com enterprise and offers prediction market contracts across categories, including cryptocurrency, financials, economics, climate and culture. Together, the companies are betting that sports fans want more than just a front-row seat; they want a way to participate in the action.
