Magic Internet Money

Crypto moves fast. Sometimes too fast.
Stories get buried. Builders get forgotten. Communities rise, disappear, return, and evolve. Memes become markets. Experiments become infrastructure. And somewhere in the middle of all that chaos, the real history of this space gets written by the people who actually lived it.
That is why we are building MIM News.
MIM News is the media arm of the Magic Internet Money ecosystem, but it is not just a project blog. It is a place to document the culture, history, people, projects, tools, experiments, and strange internet magic that make crypto what it is.
We do not want to create another feed of recycled headlines. We want to build something with a point of view.
Crypto has enough noise. MIM News is here to help find the signal.
<h2 id="why-mim-news-exists">Why MIM News Exists</h2>
Magic Internet Money has always been bigger than a ticker.
The phrase itself captures something deeply true about crypto. At its best, this space feels impossible. Money made of code. Communities built from memes. Global coordination through wallets, tokens, open-source software, and shared belief.
But the crypto industry also has a memory problem.
Important early contributors fade from public conversation. Original experiments get overshadowed by newer versions. Narratives get rewritten by whoever has the biggest platform at the moment. Builders who helped shape the space often do not get their flowers until years later, if they get them at all.
MIM News is our attempt to push back against that.
We want to preserve the stories that matter. We want to highlight the people still building. We want to cover projects that are weird, useful, creative, funny, historically important, or technically interesting. We want to celebrate the culture while also being honest about the problems.
That means MIM News will not only be about Magic Internet Money. It will be about the wider world of crypto through the lens of people who actually care about the roots, the memes, the tech, and the communities.
<h2 id="what-we-plan-to-cover">What We Plan to Cover</h2>
MIM News will focus on a few core areas.
First, we want to tell the stories of crypto OGs, builders, artists, creators, developers, traders, community leaders, and weird internet legends who helped shape the space. One of our recurring columns, The Memory Pool, is built around that idea. It is a place to interview people, document their work, and give them the respect they deserve while they are still here to tell the story themselves.
Second, we want to cover the projects and tools being built across the MIM ecosystem. That includes things like MIMCast, WizardBot, Sol Collector, MIMTools, and other experiments designed to make crypto more useful, more fun, and more accessible. These are not just side projects. They are pieces of a larger ecosystem built around media, community, creator tools, games, utility, and culture.
Third, we want to highlight what we think is cool across crypto. That might mean a new protocol, an old project with a forgotten history, an NFT collection with real soul, a community doing something creative, a technical standard worth understanding, or a builder who deserves more attention.
Fourth, we want to talk honestly about what we do not like. Crypto has a lot of hype, scams, bad incentives, low-effort copycats, and extractive behavior. We do not plan to cover the space like detached robots pretending everything is neutral. MIM News will have opinions. We will be clear when something is news, when something is analysis, and when something is commentary.
<h2 id="a-media-outlet-with-crypto-native-dna">A Media Outlet With Crypto Native DNA</h2>
MIM News is being built by people who understand that crypto is not just finance.
It is software. It is culture. It is coordination. It is lore. It is art. It is community. It is speculation. It is experimentation. It is also, sometimes, complete chaos.
That is why our coverage will not be limited to price action or announcements. Price matters, but it is not the whole story. Some of the most important movements in crypto start as jokes, memes, technical debates, forum posts, Discord conversations, or small experiments that most people ignore until they become impossible to ignore.
We want MIM News to be one of the places that notices those things early.
Not because everything needs to be treated like an investment opportunity, but because culture is often where crypto’s future shows up first.
<h2 id="giving-builders-their-flowers">Giving Builders Their Flowers</h2>
One of the most important missions of MIM News is to document people.
Crypto has been around long enough now that it has real history. There are developers, miners, founders, artists, meme creators, protocol designers, community organizers, and early adopters who were here before most of the world was paying attention.
Some of them built chains. Some wrote standards. Some created communities. Some kept projects alive when nobody cared. Some launched experiments that failed, but taught the rest of us something important.
Those stories matter.
The Memory Pool exists because we believe crypto history should not only be written by venture capital firms, exchanges, influencers, or whoever is winning the current attention cycle. It should also be written by the people who were actually there.
We want to interview them, learn from them, archive their stories, and give future users a better understanding of how this space became what it is.
<h2 id="more-than-news">More Than News</h2>
Over time, we want MIM News to become a full media hub.
That means articles, interviews, explainers, opinion pieces, ecosystem updates, historical deep dives, community spotlights, newsletters, and eventually more multimedia formats. We want the site to grow alongside the MIM ecosystem and the wider crypto community.
Our goal is to make MIM News useful for different kinds of readers.
For new users, we want to explain crypto in a way that is understandable without stripping away what makes it exciting.
For experienced users, we want to provide deeper context, history, and analysis.
For builders, we want to offer a platform where interesting work can be discovered.
For communities, we want to give attention to the projects and movements that mainstream crypto media often ignores.
And for the MIM community, we want to create a home base for the stories, tools, events, and lore that are forming around Magic Internet Money.
<h2 id="the-bigger-vision">The Bigger Vision</h2>
Magic Internet Money is built around a simple but powerful idea: crypto is still magic when people believe in it, build with it, and use it to coordinate around something bigger than themselves.
MIM News is part of that mission.
We are not trying to be a sterile corporate news desk. We are not trying to pretend crypto is boring. We are not trying to sand off the weird edges of the space. The weird edges are where a lot of the magic lives.
Instead, we want to build a publication that feels crypto native. Something informative, useful, historical, funny when it should be, serious when it needs to be, and honest enough to say what we actually think.
The plan is simple:
Document the history. Spotlight the builders. Explain the tools. Cover the culture. Protect the lore. Follow the magic.
MIM News is here to become the record, the signal, and the spellbook for everything happening around Magic Internet Money and the wider world of crypto culture.
The internet never forgets, but it does bury things.
We are here to dig them back up.
